No, it was Zack. Remember, Cloud took on Zack's persona and memories after he died outside Midgar, so in the game you see Cloud kill Sephiroth and Zack get pwned.

However, you are saying it from the scene in disc 1 flashback thing when Cloud & Seph are facing off, when Cloud was pretending to be Zack. We know that Cloud got the Buster sword from Zack, and Cloud takes it off him in the Lifestream flashback (disc 2) and stabs Seph with it. Cloud was actually the gunman that stopped tifa going in the reactor the first time, not the soldier 1st class that went in. Surely you remember. Cloud regained his mind in the lifestream. So it was Cloud that owned Sephiroth, and Zack that went flying, as Cloud saw that memory after regaining his cloudness and ditching the Zackness. Comprende?
