The family name

I'm actually torn about my full, real name. Both my father and grandfather had and I hate and love them respectively. So as a matter of memory, its undecided. But I've always hated my name with a passion despite what my stepfather says about it being a respectable masonic name.

So despite it all, I plan to change it, right after college or just before I graduate. And as a fact, I know that my name dies then, cause it will be a full name change and I only have a sister who will lose the last name (implying she a] gets married or b] isn't a lesbian). So that's the end of it and I'm glad.
 
My last name is less common than I'd originally thought, actually. It's pretty unique, even if it's short and simple.

Wouldn't change it for anything. Pretty proud of it, and not much else to say otherwise.
 
Women can pass on their name too. :P

I like my last name but I always wanted something more boss, something more "wordy", if that makes sense? I won't purposely change it and I might take someone else's last night when married, but that's a long, long time away so I don't know for sure. For right now I don't think I'd accept another person's last name. :/

Even if I get married I don't think I'l lose my stupid bloody surname, it will live on through my bloody friends using it instead of my name :rage:

They do it on purpose I'm sure of it

Can't say Ive ever cared for my last name, I just don't like it, nothing to do with the family attached to it, it just sounds shit -__-
 
Nope don't care. I got two little brothers anyway, they can keep the family name going. I want to have kids so that I can say I'm a father and a grandfather when I'm older. I don't give a eff about the last name. I never really thought about it before, but I honestly don't care. It's not that I hate my dad or mom, I love them very much although they can be the most annoying people on earth sometimes. It's just a name. Nothing more.
