Welcome one and all to The Dragon's Inferno!

Although this is intended to be a Breath of Fire club, dragon-lovers and role-players are welcome as well. ^_^ The rules in this club are as follows...

Rules
1) If you're just going to bash the game or dragons in general, don't bother posting.
2) Please don't reveal game spoilers. Some people haven't played the entire series yet.
3) If you wish to role-play in here, by all means, go ahead!
4) To members going by rule three, please follow all general role-playing rules, including NO god-modding and NO power gaming. I will know if you are doing so.

Another Role-playing Note
Obviously, since this is a Breath of Fire clan, we will be playing in mixture of Breath of Fire worlds. This includes crossovers of races, locations, and maybe some story lines as well.
Want to use a Breath of Fire race, but not sure what they are? Well, here are the common races I've found along with a description of them. However, it does not mean you HAVE to use them! Feel free to use your own race as well! Click on the roman numeral to see an example of the race from each game. (Note: Not all races appear in every game. All visual references are derived from http://www.dragon-tear.net/ ):

- Dragon (Ib, IIa IIb
IIc, IIIa IIIb, IV, Va Vb)
I prefer to have as few of these here as possible. Generally, Dragons appear to be human unless they use the power of The Brood to change into a dragon (or to call upon other dragons to assist them in battle). There are different types of dragons, of course. But if they overuse the power of The Brood or call upon the Kaiser dragon...
- Manillo (I)
Manillo are fish-people who are quite fond of Zenny (BoF currency) and make a profit as traders. They are most commonly seen with orange scales, though there have been a few with varying colors such as blue as well. They also prefer coastal areas, for obvious reasons.
- Wyndian (I, II, III, IV, V)
The Wyndians are winged folk who normally specialize in magic. Though they have the ability to fly, they do not always rely on that for transportation. The Wyndians are commonly seen feathered wings. The city they originate from, Wyndia, is located high up in the mountains. Thus, Wyndians are quite fond of heights.
- Woren (IIa IIb, III, IV, V)
The Worens are best known as cat-people, bearing feline tails and ears (tiger being the most common) and a few other traits as well. Since they are feline-ish, they bear similar traits such as quick reflexes and the lot (making them good thieves and whatnot).
-
Faeries (III, V)
The Faeries are mischievous folk who work in numbers from their colonies. Since there are so many of them, it's natural that jobs vary between each faerie. They are not proficient in fighting, but they can deal damage if there are enough of them.
- Miscellaneous Races
Of course, there are different races that appear throughout the games as well. Here are the visual references to each race and the games they appear in:
BoF I:
Mole People
Wolf People
Minotaur People
BoF II:
Frog People
Monkey People
Armadillo People
Dog People
BoF III:
Horse People
BoF IV:
Dog People

Again, other races are welcome.

You can count me in. I'm a huge fan of the BOF Serises. I'll be a member of the Dragon Clan. I'll most likely be making a new RP Character dedicated for this club.

Hey there would like to join as well as a member of the dragon clan, or if not ill be a woren. Still cant find a BoF I,II, or V, are they just that hard to find?

Well, from what I heard, BOF II Could possibly be in the Wii Virtual Console (it's already out in japan). I used to own BOF I and I haven't played BOF III and IV, and I own BOF V Dragon Quarter.

OH DOH, I though dragon quarter was like 4 or something, stupid me forgot. Anyways i think i got rid of that one cause i didnt care for it to much. I have BoF III, and IV both which are pretty good plays, still havent beaten any of them.

=D I'm joining I'm joining!!!
I think I will be...a....a....a...Wyndian!!!

BOF III is my fav, as it is the only one I have played. ^.^

I guess I have to rejoin now that everything got fixed. as I said before i'll be Woren. that's a race I'm familiar with. ^_^

Ok now with the forums fixed, i think ill make a profile for this clan as well.

Haha...you guys don't have to make a profile, but I suppose that's up to you guys. As for me, I'm going to develop Avis (my Wyndian) as I go along. Besides, it's always best to write your profiles on a word processor program anyway. ;)

I'll go ahead and start the club RP. Other members are still welcome.

Shall we begin?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dragons are very scarcely seen nowadays. Stories say that they were killed off in a war centuries ago. Rumor has it that they mingle among the common folk, away from the attention of those in power. Are they still among us, entwining their destinies with ours? We shall soon see where this story will lead us...
For now, we turn our attention to Wyndia, the 'Windy City', home of the Wyndians, and one of the largest cities in the world. It is built upon the face of a mountain and has enough technology to use the constant breeze to generate electricity through their many windmills carefully placed on some of the higher ledges of the city. The people here are well-known for bearing wings and magical properties. The king that rules this bustling city and the surrounding areas is known to be gentle and kind, yet swift and ruthless when war rears its ugly head. To keep an eye on possible movements from the neighbors, there is an observatory atop the castle near the peak of the mountain. It can oversee everything from Wyndia itself to the coast of the neighboring land, keeping an eye out for any naval movements.
In several places throughout Wyndia, guilds have been set up for those who wish to go out and see the world beyond the city's boundaries. They are commonly known throughout the country as Adventurer's guilds. No one seems to know where these guilds originated, for several branches have either sprung up or have been around too long for anyone to find it unusual. As with any other establishment that requires Zenny, a few Manillos in each city keep track of the guilds' finances, acting more like land lords if anything. Of course, the people who run the guild varies from settlement to settlement.
One guild in particular seemed rather small. Likely, the stone three-story building looked like it was previously used for a rogue's hideout and was either abandoned or the rogues were driven out. The swinging sign that was broken off was replaced with "The Dragon's Inferno", adorned by a pair of iron dragons serving as its frame and breathing flames at the opposite corners of the sign.
Inside, a couple of people were trying to clean up the place. Along with a friend of hers belonging to the Frog People, a Wyndian had just moved in not too long ago and paid off the rent for the first couple months. Just as she was setting another table upright when she heard a dull knock on the door.
"Not again," she sighed, brushing her short, platinum-blonde hair out of her eyes.
Nearby, the Frog person shook his vividly violet head and groaned, "When is that Manillo going to stop badgering me? Avis, could you shoo him away for me?"
"Gee, thanks Payam," she replied sarcastically. Avis dusted off her hands as she stood up, her red-tipped raven wings twitching a little as she walked over to the door.
"We already told you, the rent is already covered for the first few months," she called in annoyance as she pulled the door open...
(Here's where you guys come in. :))
(OCC) hope this is good for starters
As he slowly walks around the town, taking in it's sights Vex begins to comment to himself how amazing the town of Wyndia truly is. He notices all the windmills around the town and wonders how they actually power the city. As he walks further into the depths of the town he starts to notice the guilds.
"Well at least i'm getting closer."
His cloak that hes wearing now drifting some in the air due to the breeze drifts some in the air. He continues to walk until he finally notices a sign saying the, "The Dragon's Inferno".
Now muttering a little atloud he says "Well now I found it, lets see what I can do here now."
Vex walks up to the building and knocks on the door. He was suprised when the girl opened the door and said. "We already told you, the rent is already covered for the first few months."
"Umm Miss, I am not here to collect a rent, I'm here because I was hoping to join this guild here if it's not to much a problem."
Avis was both glad and a little surprised that the guest wasn't that annoying Manillo again. Her lips curled into a sweet smile as she pulled the entrance open wider. Her smile seemed to suggest that she was inviting him into more than just the guild.
"Well, why don't you come on in and make yourself comfortable?" she suggested, her ice-blue eyes gazing into his eyes and into the windows of his soul... "I'll have to apologize about the mess. We're just re-opening and we haven't cleaned everything up yet."
The frog looked over at the door as he pushed the mop across the floor and sighed. "Avis, don't scare him off."
"Now how would I scare him off, Payam?" she asked innocently, acting as though she was oblivious to her attempt to allure the man.
"Don't mind her, young man. Avis is more trouble than she's worth at times," Payam suggested, leaning the mop against the wall for now. He waddled over and looked up at their guest. "I'm Payam, I help run this guild. What can I do for you?"
"He wants to join us," Avis replied quickly before picking up the job Payam left behind.
"Ahh, I see...well, you look like a fighter. Come on over here."
Payam waddled over to a large desk, plopping himself into the cushioned seat and pulling a large book out from the bottom drawer. He heaved it up onto the desktop and cracked it open, letting the two halves fall with a thud. His long and slender fingers flipped through the pages easily until it came to a clean sheet. An ink pen was plucked up and dipped in an inkwell before it was handed to the new member.
"Go ahead and sign your name. Selig's yet to get back from the market, but he can get everything else arranged around here. He's a rather large Minotaur, kinda hard to miss. Oh, and you think you could lend us a hand for a bit? We came back from traveling a few weeks back and saw that someone pretty much raided the place. Had to close it down for awhile to clean everything up..."
(OOC:eek:k I'll go by Wrone.I'll probably make a rp profile for him too.)
Wrone sat quietly on the roof of the Dragon's Inferno home base. he had been waiting to see who wouldld arive first. He had been there for a few days now. he got to know the people inside quite well by just listening to them. Quite interesting people really.
He had heard them speak of a guild they were building. This intrigued him, and he decided that he would join, but he would not be the first to come in. So he waited.
Finally he noticed a strange young man aproach. His tail twinged slightly. there was something special about this person and he wanted to know what. So today was the day he would reveal himself.
Wrone jumped down from the roof a little while after the man had entered. he walked silently up to the door, reached out his hand, and after a moments hesitation, he knocked.
Vex begins to sign his name in his book as he replies to Payam, "Well Payam is it, I guess you can say i'm a fighter. I know enough to get me around mainly i'm a traveler and was looking to settle around somewhere. Got to be honest the name of this place caught my eye and if this place is fairly new, I guess i chose a good guild to come into. I really don't like starting somewhere new where theres already a lot of people involved. If you don't mind me asking what kind of work do you do around here?"
Vex looks over to Avis as he grabs a broom so he can begin to sweep, "Your name is Avis right? My name is Vex" he says as he stretches out his hand, "Nice to meet you."
"You said this place was raided?" He looks around the room carefully "Why would anyone do such a thing to a place like this. Anyways I'll do anything to help out around here."
(OCC the tags won't work for me, something about not being able to use 2 sig pictures in my sig space.)
With a sigh, Avis continued to push the mop around. "Well, we do get some nice souvenirs when we travel around. Apparently, they were worth enough Zenny to consider stealing. Who knows where they're at by now, though..."
Another knock was heard at the door. Payam pushed himself off of the chair and waddled over. "That's probably Selig," he thought aloud as he went out of sight.
With a shrug and a twitch of the wings, Avis just went back to mopping. "I guess you could say we travel around to see the world and help whoever needs helping. It's a little surprising how many people don't want to do things themselves..."
At the door, Payam pulled it open and saw a Woren standing on the threshold rather than the expected Minotaur. Though he was tad disappointed, he tried not to show it. Instead, he tugged at his jacket in an authoritative way and asked, "What can I do for you, sir?"
Wrone looked down at the frog man and with a sincere smile, he spoke.
"Hello sir. My name is Wrone. I was wondering if you had any opening in this guild of your's. I would be happy to help in anyway necessary if you allow me to join."
As he scratched the back of his head one could see the fleas jumping off of him onto the ground. His clothes were ragged and he wore no shoes. But he was built like a warrior. his claws looked as if they could cut through steel, and his tail was wrapped around his waist like a belt.
