The damn neighbours!!

Man, I cant stand my parents or grandparents neighbours. Im sure there are people out there who have neighbours from hell and also some decent ones. But we mainly encounter nasty ones.

I'll start with my grandparents one. On her right theres an old army seregant with his wife and they are such snobs! Once a drunk Polish couple tried breaking into my grandfathers work van and my grandma and granddad went out to see what was happening. The couple demanded (!!) that my grandfather take them both home! Of course they refused and asked them to go away, at which point they started shouting abuse and swearing at them.
Their neighbour just stood and watched this happen! He didnt call the police or come and help, he just watched through his bedroom window! What if they had been attacked?!? He thinks hes better then them and that annoys us.

Now, my mum and stepdad have moved to a lovely posh-ish area 2 years ago. Its lovely, nice houses and some decent people liveup here. But we have the local vicars daughter and her family on our left. The house is semi-detached and last year my stepdad started work on the house, doing it up. Their neighbours asked if they could share the housing budget as they too want work on their house done. Sadly my mum agreed and its caused hell ever since.
They wouldnt pay for their share of things at first, they wanted to make both front gardens and our wall as one, they dont want us having a balcony on my mums room extension and they are trying to copy my mums porch, which she is refusing to finish. They park close to my mums drive, so we cant get the car on or off the driveway and just cause murders with us.

Do you have decent neighbours or ones from hell?

Im lucky on that front, we have a deaf man one side and a nice couple the other. I never have complaints when we have parties.

I'm usually the neighbor that gets the complaints. I keep my guitar and amp in my garage, which is across the driveway from the house. Whenever my friend, Matt comes over he likes to play my drum set while I play guitar. I crank that shit UP! The legal limit where I live is 85 decibels. We don't quite reach that number but a lot of the neighbors don't know about the legal limit.

Also, I've been caught by a coupla neighbors smokin my peace pipe. It wasn't filled with tobacco either. Yeah, they don't take kindly to that.

my neighbors are middle aged and seem to think that they're still in their teenage years, since they spend most of the day and night blasting old school bruce springsteen and other various artists from their glory ages.

Well, from some non-American citizens that I have talked to they've all said the same thing. "Blah blah Americans here are terrible when it comes to socializing with their neighbors." I think it's because of the area I live in. Seems in the South people are more social with their neighbors.

Anyways, the only time I've socialized with my neighbors is just a simple 'Hello, How are you?'. My dad has talked to my neighbor who lives across from me and to the left of me. Both pretty nice men. One who lives across is a divorced business man. One next to me is a single man who owns his own band.

The neighbors to the right of my mom hates. No reasons not to but my mom is just very catty. I've talked to them a couple of times. They're a French couple, the husband is a hunter.

The neighbors diagonally from me, across the street...Oh boy...

Well the one towards the left my father had issues with them. The neighbors are a small Jewish family. Years ago the husband asked my dad to redo the bathroom for him. So my dad hired his carpenter and he did the work. He asked for the money and refuse to give it to him. Anyways I'm not sure if he paid it or not but we have completely ignored each other.

Neighbor towards the left.....They have issues going on.... A while ago this couple and their son were living normal life. The wife was very nice lady and use to talk to my family. A few years ago she left and took her son with her. This summer they came back.

One day when I was on my PC downstairs my mom came in yelling for me. She made me run upstairs and the divorced couple where fighting and screaming outside. I think her ex-husband hit her....(Couldn't see well from the window.) Mom my started freaking out. She wanted to call the police but I said no, better not get into this. A while after town cops came. I don't know what happened after that but the ex-wife is gone and her child is living with his dad. I've heard him screaming at his child outside making him cut the grass. I'm afraid of him....he seems crazy....I feel pretty bad for the kid....

The neighbors to the left of us moved out a while ago. They were pretty loud and annoying. And one of them was creepy and stalkerish.

The man that lives to the right of us is nice though. He's very talkative and he always stops and talks for at least an hour if anyone is sitting outside. He lives alone though so I guess he just likes having someone to talk to.

Well, I live in an apartment complex where we're required to sign a contract that says we won't have any loud music, etc. Still, one guy who moved in down the hall a couple months ago loves to crank his music up, especially late at night. I know more than a few people have complained about it, but its extremely hard to evict someone, even if they break the rules occasionally.

Other than that, the rest of my neighbors are pretty nice.

Hmm, well the neighborhood we live in is pretty decent...but then go outside of the area and you're in the middle of an ugly-looking town.

Now...the house right across from us...um, creepy stuff there. He's actually a child molester...

We found out about a year ago. It was late at night and we heard a ruckus going on outside. We looked outside our window and the guy who lives there was getting beat up by two men...right in front of his house! So that's his property, right? Well, we were about to call the cops, but then we heard the other man who was beating up the guy, say, "Don't you EVER look at my kids like that again!!"

So yeah, to make the long story short...we didn't call the cops as we heard what was going on...

Apparently, the guy who lives across from us was seen masturbating (he was naked), standing in front of the sliding door for all to see. He was watching the kids, and the parents saw...

It's really creepy because we've talked to the guy before. Now we don't make any contact with him, whatsoever. I did caught him staring at my daughter one time though...he was in our garage, trying to borrow something, and I guess my daughter was within sights. I told her to go inside and yelled for my brother to let him deal with the pervert.

I have no complaints about my present neighbors. But I have had some lulus in the past.

Well most of my neighbors are ok, the ones that really annoy me are the ones I share a wall with, they're the scum of the Earth, drug addicts, psychos, and what not. A family of 4-5, grandfather, old as the world itself, grandmother, lunatic is the best word here, everyday at 3-4 am she would start to scream for like 2 hours, a son, dead now from drug overdose, used to beat the old lady while she screamed, which naturally made her scream, even more :/ the druggies kid, a retard and a junkey... If that doesn't piss you of I don't know what will, I used to bang on the wall hoping it would make them stop, but to no avail, a lot of times police would come to my door mistaking the door. Fortunately, the old lady finally died, her son too, like I said of drug overdose, the old man went too I think, haven't seen him in a while, the kid maybe in prison or even dead, so what's left now is 2 people and all the crap stopped.

I'm lucky here. My neighbours on one side are heaps cool. They say g'day whenever met, and I've played video games with the son who is a couple of years younger than me. The other neighbours are still fairly new. They seem pretty cool too though. The last ones who were there until fairly recently had a dog that barked every time we had someone in the backyard. That got old fast. And the lady who owned the dog yelled at anyone in my yard to stop harassing the dog...
How annoying. It's all good now though.

I hate my neighbours, all they do is argue, they don'twork. The guy always has a can of carling glued to his hand. The girl is on kid number 3 & she has probably never worked a day in her life. The music used to be on from when I got in from work til the early hours, until I lost my temper & woke them all up with Pantera one morning full volume & full bass to get revenge. Then I went round & complained on evening.
Her 2nd youngest child always used to screm til all hours aswel, which was REALLY annoying buut I can't say I'm suprised with the loud constant music & always having a house full of wasters
She has actually quietened down alot recently. Funny how that seemed to coincide with the complaint about the loud music.
