The Cube.

Hey guys, dunno where to put this, so here it is.

How many of you here have tried to complete a freakin' Rubik's Cube and failed? I certainly have.

Just the other day I was cleaning my room (as you do), and I came across this cursed Rubik's Cube. Really, it was ancient, the layers didn't even turn smoothly (this will eventually become part of my frustration). So I thought, hey, why not try to solve it? So today, I went on the internet searching for solutions. I came across a few and began my quest. About two and a half hours later, I screw up for the sixteenth time after re-reading all the steps. I think about destroying the stupid coloured block with my bare hands, but alas!, I have used up my strength from trying to turn the infernal thing a billion times.

So how many of yous here have gone through the same trauma as I have today? Don't be shy.

I took the squares off and put them back to gather to complete it lol
ive never actually been able to really finish one without cheating but i think that there is a pattern you have to do.

Update: I can now complete the cube of frustration. I found 2 guides which, when fusing both methods, got me to the end. I am currently learning the patterns (I know most of the algorithms, just a few need learning.) I still stuff up time to time, but it's easier to regain back in control.

There was some rubik's cube nerd in my Primary school who could do it in like 7 seconds he never even looked at the cube as he did it as well it was insane he must have practised it for months.

I remember getting one for my birthday once and I left it sitting pretty and untouched on my bedside table.

One day my brother ruined it and peeled off the stickers to fix it. XD

I have one on my desk at work right now. I spent quite a bit of time one day trying to solve it before getting pissed and giving up. I subsequently forgot about it but it's still sitting half-solved on my desk. I might try it again.

I've tried a couple of times, but the damn thing just didn't want to cooperate with me. I eventually got pissed and threw it against the wall and broke it.
