Did you like it?

I personally HATED the change they made in Yuna - in FFX she was Mature Kind and selfless - i didnt get any of that off her in X-2 - Plus what was the deal with her beciming a pop start? that peed me off too

and i detested her change in clotes too - a picture i found online sums up MY feelings about her new clothes :

Your thoughts?

Lol, know what ya' mean. The whole thing was kinda like Charlie's Angels Meet Spice Girls sorta thing. However, I kinda like her songs though. XD Lol, it was kinda good!

Hmm, she atleast kept some of her attitude from FFX intact. I mean, I still kinda sense that she's that shy girl from FFX. Her clothes though - eek. It doesn't seem to suit her. Maturity-wise...yeah, I get what you mean. She reminded me of Rikku, lol.

EDIT: Oh, did I like the change? Lol overall, not really.

Yea, the whole point was she was trying to be more fun and loose now that she didn't have the weight of the world resting on her shoulders. As much as I didn't really care for FFX-2 and the whole dress style, I think it actually helped contribute to FFX because of it. That's what matters anyhow.

In FFX they always talked about her not being able to relax and her always having to hold up appearances. Outside Djose Temple everyone laughs about her fixing her hair and Tidus comments that "It wasn't until a lot later that I realized I was the only one laughing that day". It just goes to show how much pressure she had riding on her... and that when Tidus gave her that gift of freedom, that she really enjoyed it and took it to heart. That she didn't want to dress like a hooker but that she felt like she could express herself and be open.

And like the picture says, High summoner dress like High summoner... well that's not what she is anymore. She's just a person. She can do whatever she wants. She doesn't feel pressured into saving the world from Sin. So she can just screw around looking for Spheres or sing or whatever her heart desires. The game is all about her enjoying the gift of freedom that Tidus gave her.

Actually, now that I describe it that way... it reminds me a lot of the story of Prometheus. So yea, I did like the change of dress.

Yeeah Yuna was definantly different in a sense, but also the whole "popstar" thing, we have to remember that Yuna was wearing a dressphere when she performed.
All of Lenne's thoughts and feelings surrounded that dressphere and put themselves into Yuna, that's where the whole songstress thing came from ^^ Also, the Yuna in the beginning of the game, wasn't really Yuna either ;)
I didn't really like her new outfit as much as I liked her summoner outfit, but then again, I guess Yuna was trying to continue on, living her life and trying to stay happy and positive, because we all know she was hurting do to Tidus.

Bah, her change was awful. From what Aztec is saying about her no longer having the weight of the world on her shoulders, a change is expected... just not one which made her seem like such a despicable air-head.

Lenne's thoughts and feelings or not, she never wore that dressphere the whole time, so I don't think that really counts.

I was hoping for a lighter, more up-beat version of Yuna when I heard of her change, but I have to admit I didn't get my hopes up for her.

And those hot pants? Is she insane?

XD i know what you mean XD someone call the fashion police XD

seriously though i know shes trying to be upbeat and everything but she could have worn something more casual - like Rikku in FFX - instead of something slutty

Mind you Rikkus the biggest offender in that depeartment.

Fashion police... lol With you two GUYS talking about fashion this might just have turned into the gay pride parade. :P Just teasing.

On a more serious note, why would what she dressed like matter that much? Like her change in personality would matter... but change in clothes? Plus her clothes change A LOT in that game. It might as well have been a J.C. Pennies simulator.

I didn't really like the change (the first thing that came to mind when I watched the intro was Charle's Angels) but I think I can except it a little after reading Aztec Triogal's response.

I actually liked the change xD FFX Yuna was nice, and I've actually grown to like her, but it just didn't seem.....'natural'. Like Aztec said, since she was so stressed she just seemed.....detached and kinda like a doll to me. And it was just so obvious she was holding back nearly all the time.

In X-2 she just seemed really natural. It seemed real, (her actions and things she said and whatnot).

Plus, I didn't really care for her Summoner outfit honestly. I didn't hate it, it was pretty, but I just found it very boring :/ Plus, once again to be honest, when it's hot out, or there's a lot of water around (which seems to be 85% of the time on Spira xD), I tend to dress a little whorish myself. I don't dress like a lady when I'm hot, nor do a lot of the girls I know. If it's hot, I break out the mini-skirts tank tops and flip-flops. Or, just wear my bikini top around if it's hot enough. So......I guess that's why Rikku's outfit doesn't bother me to much xD

Well she wasn't acting like a popstar the whole time either, so yes it does count. All of her musical ability, where the song that she sang on the Thunder Plains, came from Lenne. Shinra even says it himself that sometimes the dresspheres can be dangerous because you're going to experience that person's thoughts and feelings who last wore it. *shrugs*

I didn't say she was acting like a popstar the whole time. I was referring to her character in general; with or without that particular dessphere. It's just not what I expected anyone from the previous game to turn out like.

Except perhaps Rikku...

Ah, okay, I understand ^_^ Maybe she was just hanging out around Rikku too long? I'm not sure if you saw the extra before X-2 started, but it was of Rikku basically telling Yuna to come along with her and it said something to the affect of "giving her a wardrobe change" Those clothes were something Rikku brought along. I also wonder how on earth Yuna got her hair so long after only a year o_O I've been growing mine out for 2 years and it's just now to my butt  Anyway, she was definantly more free-spirited. I kinda liked her attitude but at times, I kinda didn't.

That pic is classic of Yuna getting hit by Kimarhi!
But yeah I disliked the change. Yuna to me was innocent, mature and such a lovely looking character. I know some people who seen her as plain cause there was nothing that made her stand out, but I think she was fine the way she was.

The Yuna from X2 just looked trampish and to much "Oh look Im in hot pants and you can see my cleavage!" I mean, why even bother? They made her, IMO, look like a tramp and was just fan boy eye candy. But I guess thats the way the business world works.

I didn't mind it. It was a different Yuna due to her changed mentality. She was no longer the summoner that Spira needed. She apparently got into what she wants to do and she showed that in her pesonality and her outfit.

I didn't like the change. She and Rikku acted like two thirteen year old hyper girls. I couldn't finish X-2 because of this.

They didn't need to make her a Rikku clone.

I also didn't like how they felt the need to up the sex appeal. I don't have a problem with Rikku wearing skimpy clothes, but Yuna and Paine? Couldn't one of the girls have been covered up? Especially when they were wearing the warrior dress sphere.

well personally i liked the clothes, but i didn't like yuna's personality change, the clothes were fine, but the problem was that we already knew her from FFX so that probably lead to the discomfort about her change, well thats my case anyway, but the songtress clothing wasn't bad, and the songs weren't either, the problem is who was the one that was singing it etc

i didnt like the clothes change because it made her kinda cheap. kinda whorish in a way. and i think her mentality changed 2 much. shes too happy 4 sum1 who lost the person that she loves.

First time I saw the X-2 poster with Yuna in shorts, I thought it was a hoax. When I found out it wasn't, I was kind of sad.

Still, I don't think the game was meant to be taken as seriously as FF10, so I kept that in mind while playing.

I liked the change in Yuna. It was mainly due to Tidus that she changed for X-2 if you really think about it. He brought her out of her shell in X and made her talk some more. But when he
faded away
, it seemed like there was a part of her missing. That part remained missing in X-2, even if she was having fun doing the sphere hunting and saving Spira from
Shuyin
two years later. But that part of her came back when Tidus
came back
to her.
