The best show/concert

I've only ever been to three, and I can't really remember 2 of them. But I rememebr when my mum made me go with her to see Kylie's showgirl tour thing because she didn't wanna go up to London on her own. And suprisingly it was good! She's really good live, and she knows how to get the crowd pumped!

I only went to one concert and that was Evanescence with Finger Eleven and Chevelle. It was best night in my entire life. The music was loud and they performed amazingly!

I've been to a few concerts, but my favorite was the Three Days Grace & Breaking Benjamin concert I went to earlier this year. I love both bands, and they were absolutely amazing live! The effects they had on stage were increbible. I sang along with almost every song they sang, and I can't remember a moment when I was sitting down. It really was an incredible night that I'll never forget.

I went to see The Cruxshadows on Saturday. It was a small venue, in Stourbridge. A TRULY outstanding performance! Room wasn't too full, and it was a very comfortable atmosphere.
First off, the support band, Deviant UK blew me away! Jay the singer was realy freaky with the way he stared you down, and mouthed off to the samples realy well. A great performer...

And then the Cruxshadows themselves... I still cannot quite beleive it! Rogue (the lead man) was fantastic! He dissapeared at the begining of the performance, walked past us all assumingly to the toilet... While he was away the band began playing, we all looked everywhere to spot him but we couldn't... Next thing I know I heard him singing, and he is standing next to me! He wears a head microphone so he can move about freely. He walked up past my freind and onto stage and the show began!
He was great like that, occasionally coming into the crowd, putting his hands on our shoulders, even dancing hoe-down style with one person, and at one point sang and danced on top of a stool... A truly fantastic performer.
And that is not all, the rest of the band were truly fantastic also! The dancer / singers were realy great, and soemtimes hard to take your eyes off if it wasn't for how cool Rogue was!
The violinists and keyboardist were amazing too. And the realy engergetic guitar player was fantastic!
At the end, during the encore of Marilyn My Bitterness, Rogue pulled some people onto the stage! A first! Meanwhile the dancers and guitarist got off the stage, so I didn't go onto the stage as it would mean interupting the dancers who were dancing right in front of me! But my freind went onto the stage, and danced with Rogue! Fantastic!
We all had photos at the end, and went home with great big smiles we still can't get off of our faces...

Now THAT is truly great interaction with the crowd that I have never heard of before, let alone witnessed!

Hmm I've been to quite a few shows, but I would have to say the best ones I've ever attended was October 26th, 2006 when I saw 30 Seconds to Mars for the first time, and it was a pretty awesome show. And being able to meet / hug Jared Leto after the show was pretty freaking fantastic.

Following that closely behind was when I saw Boys Like Girls last year. I was surprised with how rough the crowd was there, but it was so fun. I don't think I've ever gotten kicked in the back of the head and stepped on from the front row so many times in one show before, lol.

Best Concert you Have ever attended

Personally, if there is one thing that can't be beaten in terms on entertainment its a good concert. What is the best concert that you have been too in your time on earth.

For me the best concert I have ever seen was when the roots came to Purdue (my school) and played a free concert during the week before finals. They are crazy good live band, and is the only band that I know that incorporates a tuba player in their set.

Also, I've seen Radiohead live, and their set was epic. The light show alone would have been worth the price of admission. They put on an amazing show.

Other shows that I have seen include OAR, Jack's Mannequin, 311, Matisyahu (the guy was effing nuts... amazing), and Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. Petty is probably one of the best shows around because he's been at it for awhile now and has so many amazing songs.

More content and effort in your posts, please.

I've not actually been to that many massive concerts or gigs. My first was S Club 7 in 2003 and that was EPIC. Beyond that, I've only seen...two, maybe three larger bands at a gig? If I'm counting local gigs (some of which were better than the larger ones, mostly as a result of being under the influence), then I've been to HUNDREDS of absolutely epic nights.

I'll take this opportunity to shamelessly advertise B Raymond and the Voicettes, Tango in the Attic and, finally, Root System. Best local bands in Scotland, imo.

Hmm its between 3

arctic monkeys - aberdeen
the fratellis - aberdeen
lostprophets - edinburgh

Lostprophets are my fav band outta the three, but i was absolutely guttered when i went to see them. As was my mate who got chucked out before it statred. None the less they put on a fucking awesome show.

Arctic monkeys were brilliant although they missed out on a few good songs i wouldve like to have heard. They didnt do much to hype up the crowd either so thats my only critism.

The fratellis get the win. Why? The last song they played was chelsea dagger and it was absolute madness :) the whole way through the gig they played to the crowd and had a laugh. 10/10

I went to see Alter Bridge last month. Logan and Hot Leg were supporting. I was gutted because Logan are awesome. Probably the best and most popular unsigned band at the moment but me and my brother where a bit late and we got in just as they were playing "When I Get Down" which happened to be their last song of the night so we decided to get drinks in during Hot Leg (Justin Hawkins of the Darkness' new band). If I am being honest, they weren't bad but they weren't exactly the right type of band for this audience which saw Justin Hawkins taking a lot of abuse from the crowd. In all fairness, he took it in good sport rather than pretend it wasn't happening or take a hissy fit.

I can't exactly remember all the songs and the order but I remember they opened with "Come to Life". Other songs they performed are "Before Tomorrow Comes", "Ties That Bind", "New Way to Live", "Buried Alive", "Brand New Start", "Coming Home" (I think).

The highlights are when they performed "Blackbird". Amazing song almost 8 minutes long. Kind of a dark, slow tempo with Myles Kennedy and Mark Tremonti both doing solos. "Metalingus" (Edge's Theme song from WWE) which gets the crowd mad. White Knuckles which is one of their most faster tempo stuff - amazing song. They change the tempo a bit with songs like "Broken Wings" and "In Loving Memory". The latter was amazing and beautiful and demonstrates how good a vocalist Myles Kennedy is. They cap it off their biggiest and first single "Open Your Eyes". As usual, they stop half way through to thank us and that they had enjoyed the night for them to start the second part which includes involving the crowd to sing-a-long to the bit were Myles Kennedy's vocals go really high (I love that bit) for about 30 seconds then they carry on and finish. For the encore they played a cover of "Travelling Riverside Blues" which also demonstrates Myles Kennedy's guitar skills as well as his vocal skills at the end when he holds a high note for about over 20 seconds. After that they finished the night off with "Rise Today".

Amazing night, probably one of the best bands out there at the moment (Especially live). Can't wait till they come back to Glasgow.

The few disappointments I have of the night are that Alter Bridge didn't perform "Down to My Last" which I expected and "Watch Over You". I did think they would play the latter considering it is their latest single and one of their more popular songs. The final disappointment (which is mostly my fault) is missing Logan perform. As such I have discovered that they are doing a home coming gig in Glasgow on the 19th which I might go to. Either that or wait for Shinedown.

Last november i got the chance to see N.I.N and the foo fighters double headlining in edinburgh. It was amazing. Not sure who was better

I went to see Slipknot on Monday. I'm not their biggest fan but they are a big band and my mate likes them so we managed to get last minute tickets. Got absolutely wrecked but it was amazing. My body is still feeling the affects of the night as I literally struggled to lift myself out of bed this morning. Thank god I have college off today as I feel totally shit but worth it all the same.

I have been to the huge number of 3 concerts, lol.

Powderfinger
Jet
Nightwish

My actual home is in Tasmania, Australia. Tiny island that NOBODY ever comes to, lol. The bands that do come I have absolutely no interest in or have never heard of them before.

But Nightwish was by far the best concert out of the three. Despite the fact I was so close to the stage at the Jet concert that we got sprayed with the band's sweat (yes ewww). The Nightwish one was the one I had been most dying to see. It was in Melbourne at the Palais Theatre in Jan, 2008. I will never forget it, one of the best days of my life. I have been a huge Nightwish fan for a very, very long time and to just be in the same room with the band was blowing my mind. Half the concert I was going 'Holy crap, they are right there!!!' lol. I know I'm sad and desperate!

But the sound and atmosphere was just amazing, everyone was very supportive of the band. Only bad part, the theatre had seats! What sort of metal concert has seats? It didn't matter, we all stood up in the end but sucked that we couldn't all get squished

Best gig I went to was early April (?) last year.

ATREYU, BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE, AVENGED SEVENFOLD.

2 of the greatest metal bands I've heard (not a fan of A7X) playing together. It was epic. Although I reckon Atreyu played too much of their new album (their new album sucks) but still, 'Lip Gloss And Black', 'Right Side Of The Bed' and 'The Crimson' made my day. Bullet For My Valentine kicked ass too, but, like before, played quite a bit from their 'Scream, Aim, Fire' album.

My all time favourite concert was the Reading festival in 06. Got drunk all day and rocked out to so many great bands. Topped off with a great performance by Pearl Jam.

most recently, I was at a Less than Jake show, and my god that was fun. Skanking is my favourite form of dancing, but man I almost passed out doing it. Some great Ska bands opened up for them too.

The best concert i have been to must be simple plan at the birmingham carling acadamy! The band were awesome and both supporting bands were bloody amazing! they totally out did themselves XD i had so much fun, even though i couldnt see very well because i'm quite small and got lost in the audience -.- :P
