The Belkan War

OOC: Sorry, wasn't able to come on IRL.

IC: "Everyone," the base commander said, "we have recieved word from the Osean government. Come with me to the hanger to discuss the details."

OOC: Yea, but since you rose through privat, you have more experience, but im still in command. BTW, the Springfield is not magazine loaded. Its a single bullet manual load. Its the WW2 gun right? Im going to ake up most of the division stuff okay?

Hera had collected 10 clips of rounds for her sniper and 8 clips for her MP7. For a precise shooter, 60 bullets was more than enough. She looked around and saw that everyone else was all locked and loaded."Gunnery-sargent Fayd Alazar reporting for duty, Fully re-supplied and ready for orders maam" Okay stand by for... "Everyone, we have recieved word from the Osean government. Come with me to the hanger to discuss the details." or not. Lets head over to the hangar. The small Osean force reached the hangar and went in to meet with the base commander and gave a crisp salute. Sargeant Major Hera of the Osean First Army, 9th battalion.

OOC: I think it's the WW2 gun, since that the only one everybody knows about (and the only one capable of being equipped with a scope.)

John also made his way to the hanger, meeting up with Hera there. "This is 1st Lieutenant John Hunter, Ustian Special Force Division, 66th Mercenary Unit. What is this about?" The base commander said, "I have recieved news from the Osean Front, apparently, they have held their line and have prepared for an offensive to take back the Great Lakes region. The time has come to launch Operation Roselein. The plan is to take Route 171, in Arlon, Sapin. The offensive is set for the 15th of this month." "Is that so, well, is there any other news, sir?" John asked. "In the meantime we must end these attacks on Valais Base. We believe it is coming from a base in northwestern Belka."

((OOC: in the films it accepted a clip of 5 bullets and was recocked after each shot, thats why i chose the springfield in particular, wasnt there a M1 garand style (One shot reload) sniper that looked the same though?))

Fayd had followed The sargeant major to thee hanger, unsure of what the news would be He heard the sargeant major introduce herself and thought to himself 'isnt hera the name of a goddess?' then shook himself to hi senses and snapped to attention "Gunnery sargeant Fayd Alazar, 9th brigade reporting". He was glad that someone asked for news before he had to He listend to the commandant ((OOC: thats the correct term right? or are we sticking with the english standard?)) explain the situation

Fayd had to agree that this was a smart move, if they could hold that area they may be able to hold up a stronger defense, maybe have a better chance to win this war.

Again that was understandable. It looks like this was there next assignment so Fayd saluted shortly and waited for the sargeant major to exit

OOC: Springfield is the one that accepted a five clip without a scope. Each shot require a recock. The scoped version cannot accept a clip beacuse the scope is directly over the slot, thus require each bullet to be loaded manually. The garand is fitted with an 8 bullet clip and is semi automatic all the way. The garand and springfield are completely different.

Sir, who would be leading the operation in clearing out the Belkans? Hera asked, stepping forward. It was important. She felt that she herself was still inexperienced. With almost fingers crossed, she hoped the commander gave leadership to the mercenary.

The base commander said, "1st Lieutenant Hunter will be in charge of the operation." Though it did not change his attitude towards this operation, as long as Ustio is safe and the job is done. "Alright guys," John said, "Get your gear, switch gear if you need to, and meet me in the Blackhawk helicopter at 1800 hours. Hooya!"

((OOC: ok sorry for the confusion, i give, its a one shot reload, i didnt load a clip into it, looks like my handgun is going to come in handy after all, Spartan am i ok to get a second handgun? as i want a two gun fighting style, lara croft-ish its ok if i cant... also we are using ww2 guns right? so 9mm barettas dont exist?))

"Sir" Said fayd as he exited to go pick up a second handgun, it seems as though he would need more close ranged firepower after all "Another hand gun please" He said to the man asignd to the duty of handing out the inventory "Yessir" He said shuffling off, returning moments later with the gun he said "Im afraid its not the same type, but its the best we could do" "Thats fine" Fayd said as he loaded it up and walked over to near the blackhawks area waiting for the others to arrive. He took a cigarette from the pack and lit it. He began to smoke while he waited

((OOC: the first handgun is here and the second is here if they arent ok then tell me ok?))

OOC: i dont think its limited to WW 2 weapons. At least i dont think so. My gun is a bullpup sniper, so iono. As long as its not overuber, i think a post war pistol should be fine.

Hera sighed a deep relief. Hefting her WA200up onto her shoulder with the sling, she made her way to the supply officer again. Fayd was there already, but it didnt really matter to her. I'd need you to take a look at my rifle before we lift off. I think i might have dinged the barrel and its messing my aim. Please get it to me before 1600. She glanced around and her eyes fell on a K ration. Ugh, i'm hungry. Sneaking a look to both side, she sneakily leaned over the table towards the Supplu officer. Hey, LT, can you spare a K ration? I'm dying here. The LT gave her a raised eyebrow, before repeating a scanning look around. Only because its you SM. he said with a half smile before trying to smuggle a k ration secretly over the table.

OOC: The weapons mainly from WWI to Modern Warfare, mainly since firearm technology hasen't really changed that much over the past 140 years. (yeah, it's that long.) Also, you can carry two pistols and dual wield them, though I'll never understand why people do so, as it hurts accuracy.......

John went into the armoury to pick up his "Bulldog", the AK-47 Assault Rifle. This Assault Rifle had an underslung Masterkey Shotgun (John was never far from his boomsticks), a Red Dot Sight and caried an extra silencer. He then went to a Storage Case and found a P-83 Pistol, one that was recently made from an Ustian Manufactering Arms Plant. Putting it in his hoslter, he then discarded the sword and headed for the chopper.

((OOC: you can have weapons from after ww2? ok then im changing my guns. i now have this as a sniper and these two handguns 1 & 2 i hope you dont think they are too overpowered. i will downgrade the sniper rifle if you want and ill just have garand m1 or springfield instead, i do the dual wield out of principal, i use a dual wield in all my rps, swords and guns))

OOC: well, i wouldnt call a 50 cal sniper very portable, and we are going to fight portable. BUT! who cares. it should be fine. it just doesnt look very portable. Id say an awp looks cooler.

OOC: Who said, we were fighting portable? This is a raid with at least a few forces from the Osean military. Bring any weapon you want to bring.

OOC: But arent raids generally fast, hard and based on speed? But it doesnt matter. I was just reading around and if its like the awp, then its okay in terms of portability.

((OOC: i actually chose it cos it looked good... i dont know the make, i woy=uldve comfortable stuck with the springfield))

OOC: Screw it. oick whatever suits yo. It really didnt matter. i was just being a bit technical.

((OOC: both you guys realise if you want me to be technical i will listen to your thoughts, idont want to ruin the rp because my guns too powerful or something))

OOC: *Thinks of TC's Endwar* Yeah, good point. Still, though speed is of essence, portability is not..... so long as he has some sort of lightweight weapon as a back up.

IC: John had already made his way to the Blackhawk, yet he has to wait for the other troops to come in order to take off. Since the chopper has to wade through low level to avoid detection from Belkan radar, they would have to fly around the mountains and land at the Sapin capital of Gran Rugido, in allied territory.

OOC: OKay, lets get going then.

Hera wolfed down the meal in a small hidey spot. There was some time left so she hung about, doing what she always did, lazing about. Unfortunately, less than thirty minutes later, the LT came over with her WA2000. Well, you did ding it a bit. had to change the barrel. It would've messed up your shots. Snatching the rifle, Hera zoned in on the sight felt the weight and gae a satisfied nod.Perfect. It feels the same. I gotta go. Thanks for making it a priority. The LT gave a quick nod and watched the young girl run towards the chopper. Alright men. Form up! Head over to the chopper, now!

Fayd saluted the LT when he had came over but continued to smoke. it wasnt until the sargent major arrived that Fayd threw it to the ground and stamped it out as he stood to attention he saluted again when she gave the orders. "Ready and waiting for the off maam, sir" He said. as he shifted the sniper, he had to remember not to do that, but it was a nervous tick
