Fan Fiction Terra Branford - The Fiery Rose

I like Terra because she is a complex character. She has inner demons in a way, and she knows very little of the world she's living in and so she struggles and questions things. I don't know what it is, but it just makes you want to give her a huge hug, you know, especially at times when she loses faith. And also in a way she reminds me of a female version of Cloud, whom I can relate to a lot.
That's why I like her too! :D

She's such a great character, whom you can relate to. You know, there are rumors (and I believe a small interview) saying that Terra was a male (this isn't the rumor part, because this is real) and that she was going to die at the end, but they switched it around for the children of Mobliz. The rumor part is that Cloud's character was inspired off of Terra, which makes some sense.

One can compare the two quiet well.

And yes, she just makes you want to give her a huge hug -- I agree and welcome yet again, to the FC!

omg ffvi is the best final fantasy ever ,and with the best video games score of all time !
Can i join ?

PS. Terra can you help me with ffxv.net?

Sure you can join! I agree, best FF game :D

Um, depends on what you need. I'm not really good with websites. My ma knows a lot though. Are you still trying to figure how to install on a domain name...?

It definitely does. Both used to serve the corrupt empire/corporation and ended up leaving it, and both have special powers initially and both seemed to have a tragic past. In fact I noticed there are huge amounts of similarity between FFVI and FFVII. It's as if FFVI was not popular enough and so developers decided to remake it in better graphics and different character names and called it FFVII. Lol. I do love FFVII still though.

Yeah, you are right about that but they are both different characters in different games. FFVI was more or less everyone's story whil FFVII centered on cloud and everyone else associated with him. It could be argued that FFVI is Terra's story yet the same could be said of Locke, Celes or even Mog. Granted, some characters get mroe attention than others but FFVI is everyone's story while FFVII is Cloud's story, it doesn't make FFVII any less better. It wouldn't be entirely inaccurate to say that FFVI is Terra's story.

Oh thank goodness! I thought I was the only one who saw this :x3:

Empire, Terra, paste, powers, not fully human (Cloud wasn't fully human, right? lol), story, characters, 14 member cast attempt...there is a lot that can be compared to it. The only difference, really, is that the main character wasn't killed off in FFVI

I honestly think its the graphics and love triangle that FF6 was missing that didn't make it the best. I'm kinda glad it doesn't have the same kind of fandom. Because if it had, there would be stupid spin-offs and stuff changing the original, beautiful game. Giving it the "FF7" twist or putting a love triangle in....it would just be horrible, especially by how different Terra is in Dissidia from FF6. It wouldn't go right...

@Guernsey:
I always thought that FF6 was about Terra and Celes. They are the only two characters you are actually forced to play as for a longer timelimit than going, for example, to the opera as Locke. Which you can easily kick him out or switch to Celes.

That is one of the reasons, and then Dissidia definitely improved the impression by picking her as the main...if that makes any sense xD

Love triangles are overrated. I am glad FFVI didn't have one. Although Locke was kinda torn between all the ladies. At first he still had feelings for Rachel, then he feels protective of Terra, and then he gets interested in Celes.

I agree that FFVI was kind of everyone's story. I liked the fact that it didn't have an official main character, even though the story did center around Terra, Locke and Celes a bit, but not enough to give them the entire spotlight.

It's funny, a love triangle between the 3 most debated on main characters. I don't have a big interest in pairing but in my opinion it should be Terra/Edgar and Locke/Celes. Anyway I wish to join. Terra is too awesome to not like and although her ability makes bosses too easy, it still kicks butt.

I agree. I like VI so much because there isn't anything there to milk off or ruin. I mean, Locke and Celes :hehee Like if
you beat the game without Locke, Celes asks Setzer to help her find Locke.

There wasn't anything SE could build off of, or try to change. The game ended greatly, although I would have liked to see a small glimpse into what the future would have held. Like if the end of the game showed
Terra raising the children in a refurbished Mobliz, Edgar and Sabin ruling Figaro together, Locke and Celes treasure hunting, Relm becoming an famous artist
and all that....but I guess the ending is what made it so epic. :awesome:

Welcome, Vircon! I'll add you now!

I don't see much debate going on for FF6's love interests...

Her ability makes bosses easy? I never notice that kind of thing...

Hehee, that's how I see it in my eyes.

Funny I rarely use Terra's powers due to the time limit placed on it but the bosses weren't any easier for me. Love Triangles Tifa x cloud x Aeris do get a bit annoying but whatever floats your boat.

Unless the battles get much harder by the time I finish the game, I can at least say so for the bosses in the WoB. Morphing made boss fights go by way too quickly, especially if the boss has a weakness. The amount of damage she could do with a level 2 spell is scary.

I used it once, to see how long it lasts.

LT's are there to troll, and who likes to be trolled? :busta:

Have you've checked the damage she can do in Morph with Atma Weapon? That is scary. :awesome:

(Or maybe I freakishly made her a freak-monster-thing)

The amount of Magic Points you gain determines how long Morph will stay in effect so as long as you keep saving them for bosses, and fight some battles before hand, you should have enough for it to last you a quite a few turns. I am not sure if how quickly Terra gets her turns is affected by time magic though. Add into the effects of either Earrings or a very good weapon and Terra is a very good damage dealer.

Indeed about Atma Weapon. I was expecting a hard battle but again Morph makes very quick work of him. But then again I may be just overrating her ability and may just be overleveled. My party ranged from 28-30 by the end of the WoB.

Amount of magic points? What do you mean? I thought it depends on your magic strengths&defense plus your level.... :hmm

I can't remember but I am pretty sure they're called magic points. Anyway it is the points needed for your characters to learn magic. You gain some after every battle. Just build those magic points up and by the next boss fight Terra's Morph should be able to last a while

I'll have to try this the next time I play it, I honestly had a lot of trouble getting her Morph to stay for very long :hmmm: I was lucky if I could get her to get in even one hit per battle in Morph form :gasp: But there was definitely a noticeable power increase with that one hit :D

I only noticed a limit right after I got her...and then after a certain point in story line, she remained in her state through the battle until I won, like it never ran out. :O

I never knew AP could help it though. *Googles lol*

Personally I think it is the best offensive character ability in the game if you save it for the right moments. I am not sure how the rate works for how long you stay transformed though but if you grind for a while and then fight the boss, you should be able to stay in that form for at least 3 turns.

Dang...well, I'm level 89 for Terra, haven't played for a while. But is it a possibility you can collect these AP for Terra and there is some sort of level to it? Because mine literally never runs out unless the battle is over. And no, I have not used a cheat. lol
