Help Temple of the Ancients- what if Cait Sith is in your party?

This is one of the things I was too lazy to try back in the day. What happens if your party is Cloud, Aeris, and Cait Sith as you go through Temple of the Ancients? Do you have to fight the dragon and DOOM WALL with Cloud and Aeris alone or do you get another character somehow?

I think by the time Cait Sith goes off to do his sacrificial scene you get to switch him out for a new character, I haven't played FF7 in a while but I think he's secure for those two battles and leaves afterwards.

One of the other characters comes and takes his place. :dave:

I took Cait Sith once and only once. I remember Barret coming to take his place. I don't know if it's randomized though.

i used Cait Sith when i did the TotA and he dies but you get some clone or copy or something made by Shinra. same stats, weapon, materia everything.

The second Cait Sith replaces the first I believe. He should have the same equipment and such.
