Tales of the Abyss 3DS confirmed for November launch

Namco Bandai’s announced this morning that Tales of the Abyss will launch in Europe and Australasia on November 10 on 3DS. That’s right, it’s being called up a day before fellow RPG heavyweight Skyrim launches worldwide. The news was announced at Japan Expo in Paris, but Namco’s press released it. The game is a 3D remake of the PS2 title that launched in 2005. The publisher also reiterated in the release that Tales of Graces F will launch on PS3 next year.

As pleased as I am that we're FINALLY getting Tales of the Abyss over here, and as impressive as it is that the 3DS can run a PS2 game...jesus, the 3DS is becoming overrated port central. First OoT 3D (which, by the way, is the worst port Nintendo have ever made) and now this, the most hyped Tales game in existence. The possibility of FFVII 3DS isn't so remote, all things considered. How about some new, original 3DS games for these big-name titles, eh?

This looks incredible, and I'll definetely end up buying it, but if its just another port, it isn't really going to be worth buying if you've already played it...much like OoT 3D. I can't help but be happy that we're FINALLY getting this bloody game so I can legitimately laugh at all the hype surrounding it when it doesn't even come close to matching Tales of Symphonia or my expectations, but...there really should be more to it than what there is >.>
