Square Enix, wasting no time, announced the PSP reimagining of Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together for North America. The US name drops the Wheel of Fortune subtitle, but has all of the same features including the new not-yet-explained Wheel of Fortune system.
The PSP version of Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together has a re-arranged soundtrack with 15 new compositions, redrawn 3D maps that emphasize height, larger battles, a battle skill ability, new classes, and new characters like Raveness.

A release date for Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together was not announced for North America or Japan.

Let Us Cling Together is a rather...odd subtitle in my opinion especially with the use of an inclusive pronoun. :hmmm:

Who knows - I may try this actually whenever I have a working PSP again. Love the art style. Love the look of the field maps. Love the high definition sprites. And it certainly sounds interesting enough to make me put aside my general unenthusiasm of these kind of RPGs.

I agree with Fleur, "Let Us Cling Together" is one of the more odd subtitles for games I've heard xD

Let us Cling Together was the original name of the Playstation version of this game..which as I said before I have.

seems they have tinkered with this game much along the same lines as they tinkered with FF Tactics with the War of the Lions release...adding new cutscenes, new characters, new abilities, etc etc.Not a lot but a few new things from the original versions.

I guess that's ok if it brings in new fans..and causes the developers to create new games.
Although that hasn't happened with War of the Lions..probably because Matsuno no longer works for Square.

shrugs..
We can only hope he decides to go back to work on the Ogre battle franchise.

If this even captured a fraction of the magic FFT has then I'm more than sold. I wonder if Alexander O Smith is going to localize this one? Give it the War Of The Lions treatment?

There is one more Ogre battle title they could tinker with and bring to the PSP and that is Ogre battle 64.

I wonder if they plan to do that at some point.

Well, this genre is one of the types that I actually liked. Though, admittedly, I find that it's rather rare... Or maybe I haven't encountered enough of these sort. This game reminds me a lot about Tactics on the PS1. I'm definitely getting this game when it's released.

And we will Cling Together :ryan:

Now that I has my PSP again, I will definitely try this out once it arrives. I played Tactics Ogre for the GBA, and was not impressed. Maybe this will spark my interest again? Just hope there is no slowdown like in War Of The Lions.

:ffs:

I have the plot memorized and since I don't want to spoil it for anyone who hasn't played it I will show restraint.

There are some side missions and places where you will be waylaid..I don't know if you consider those slowdowns.

I liked the game.I thought it was a little too easy at times.I wonder if they will include that silly dungeon..I don't recall the name of it.It was very tough but the items you could get out of there were one of a kind and priceless.
I assume the enemies will be a lot tougher in this new version of the game.
