[T] The Hideout

Good heavens, TWICE?

That would kill me, once is enough. D=
Same thing happened to my VII save many years ago (my first save), I had nearly everything and it corrupted, then I think the time after that brother deleted it.
It's no wonder I never get any perfect games finished.

Yes, twice. :sad3: Bad times.

Although, next time I play, I'm tempted to go for 80 Elnoyle cards, so I can get Rinoa and Quistis their ultimate weapons too.

But that might be slightly more suicidal than I anticipated.

Happy comparisons are boring. Repulsive is the way. :hmph:

Good God, Mark. :lew: I'd go mad.

Oh dear mark, I wonder how long that lasts. :8F:

I will try myself sometime to do a perfect game on my PSP, I do intend to do it, and a VII one... and an IX one, although probably minus the Excalibur II as a) i've never done it before and b) Excalibur II + Perfect game is impossible on the European version. :rage:

Ohhhh true say that, come to think of it... yeah.
Then again it's only ONE sword and you can get all of its abilities anyway. =/
I've never bothered to get it and I probably never will.

OK. Picture this scene. I'm fighting a boss. It uses a move to get two turns, using one to attack and one to make itself immune to all forms of attack. It repeats this. When I raise my evasion and lower its accuracy so that it misses, forfeiting its turn, it uses a move to give it four turns and spams me with wind magic, killing me. After 20 minutes of fighting... -__-

It did? The bastard. :rage:

.....Is this DDS? XD

It sounds stupidly annoying at parts, I HAVE TO TRY IT.
I like a challenge, it may be fun. :8F:
When my ema starts coming through I may get it... although I kinda want to save up and get a PS3 for myself. D=

It is. And it does get stupidly annoying. Such as chests that halve your party's HP and poison them. -__-

Oh dear, that sounds rather rage inducing.
How far between are save points? Are items plentiful? etc D=

I really want to try it regardless, but it would be nice to know what i'd be letting myself into. :8F:

You get one save point at the beginning of each dungeon, and a shop. There are smaller save points that can teleport you back to the main one, but you'll need to go through the dungeon again. Only the original save points restore HP and MP, and you have to pay for it.

Game sounds like a right bitch. xDD
I'll have to watch some gameplay vids sometime to see how i'd like it, youtube ftw.

Also, it works on a system where each person on your team gets a turn symbol. Getting an enemies weaknesses uses half a turn, a normal attack that hits uses one turn. An attack that misses or is blocked uses 2, and an atack that is repelled or absorbed uses them all. Also, a lot of normal enemies get two turns each, and some bosses get 3-7 turns.

Does this game want you to play it... seriously? 8(
I still want to try it, it's going to turn us all borderline when we eventually do though. How you've survived i'll never know.

I'm still fighting the boss I mentioned earlier. -__- Doesn't help that my magical powerhouse is weak against wind magic.

So... how do you power up to prevent being beaten in a matter of seconds?

Is it a levelling system? One like a sphere grid maybe or something similar?
I'm intruiged.

You buy Mantras from save points. You then have to collect AP, or Atma Points. You get a small amount by winning a battle, but a lot if you kill an enemy with a Hunt element attack, such as Devour, Devil Feast, etc. It's basically eating the enemy. Once a Mantra is mastered, you learn the moves. To get powerful fire moves, you have to start off with weak fire moves etc. It costs an increasing amount of money to buy Mantras.

When you level up, most characters major in certain stats, like attack, magic etc. You can control the MC's stat growth and distribute 3 points to the stats of your choice after each level up.

ooooooooooh, it sounds rather fun then. =D
Not tedious I hope though.
There's something I always love about gathering points and watching the numbers go up, i'm such a nerd. :8F:

You get a nice little blue/purple bar that fills up as you gain points. :lew: It's quite fun to gather points.

Ooh, a BAR, I like where this is going. :monocle:
I love being stupidly overpowered early on in games, but I don't think i'll have that problem with this by the sounds of it. XD

I kinda wanna try it now. =[
