Ok so heres the deal...Pretty much I play sony playstation because of final fantasy..I dont have a lot of time to play video games but I play these ones because they give me a feeling of accomplishment afterwards.

I recently bought a PS3...My laser went out on the PS2..

Are all of my saved memory card files no good to play now without a ps1 or 2? Because I Had countless hours on 7, 9, and 10 filed on those cards for perfect games...
Is there any way to keep those files or am I shit out of luck...

You assistance is appreciated..thank you.

P.S. Any option that suggests me to just plug in the ps2 to access these files are mute because....its broken.

The files should all still be there on your memory cards, unless you've somehow inadvertently deleted them all. Unfortunately however, memory cards aren't compatible with the current PS3 models, and you'll probably need a memory card adaptor to copy the data into the PS3's hard disk itself if you want to continue with the PSone Final Fantasy games if you wish to continue with FFVII and FFIX. I myself have never attempted this before, so I'm only vague on this, but this site should give you a few more details on memory transfer. As for FFX, the current PS3s cannot play PS2 software anyway, so there's no real point with FFX unfortunately.

Wow spend money on an adapter? screw that lol...I guess Ill just wait a few years and maybe play them again... but man I dont think I could ever play X again..It was like my third playthrough and I was so close to perfect..I dont think this game will ever be fun for me again. =(

[Moved to Playstation]

I figured it'd be better here, as it's not really an FF related topic so much as a PS3 related one. :)

I dont want to generalize here but FFVIII wont load ona PS3?
Something to do with analog on the Wireless controller?

Dude you can pick up a 3rd party adapter for like $6 on Ebay:srsly:
you ask for help and blow the only help offered so for out of the question.
