Ah, I'll move this to the right section. ;)

Anyway, I don't like sushi at all. I think it's quite disgusting. =/ I've tasted one before...I believe it was eel sushi, and I gagged...

I've had California Rolls too, but I'm just not a sushi fan...

Haha, me too. My mom tried to put a bit of spam and hotdog and rice in between that little seaweed roll and gosh was it disgusting. xD

I can't force my body to agree with the taste of seaweed.

Haha, California rolls ought to be edible by even the most squeamish of sushi goers. I don't even think there's even any meat in it, it's all rice, seaweed, and avocado stuff.

I used to always think the idea of sushi was disgusting until I was convinced to actually try it. And when it comes to most food, I'll at least try it once before laying down an ultimate verdict. But I love the stuff now. My favorite is the dragon roll, that has eel in it.

But the thing to realize about sushi is that everyone assumes it's all raw fish. Yes, some have raw fish in em, and some don't. There's all kinds of sushi. Many of them even contain types of cooked fish that most people normally don't have a problem eating as a main course in any other meal and they're not quite as exotic as people are led to believe. But of course, there are just as many that are. You've just got to read your menu carefully haha.

Otoro is good. So goood.
I don't care much for fish roe. Uni is alright, though.
Unagi can be really good, but can also be really bad. Depends on the place.
California rolls are good - but maybe it's just my California pride.
Philly rolls are alright if you only eat one. They get gross fast.
Tekka-don is basic, but still one of my faves.

If you want to try out stuff, see if the sushi restaurant has a Rainbow Roll or something of that nature (a variety roll).

here's a good website: http://eatsushi.com

I love sushi. ^_^ I've tried making my own on a few occurrances (though I'd love to try and make an onigiri sometime). Hell, I'd eat the seaweed as is if it's not stale.

As much as I love it, though, I can't stand any of the spicy ones. Even so, I'm not supposed to have them due to my acid reflux. It's sad.

I love sushi, though I barely every have a chance to eat it so it is like a real treat whenever I go to sushi bar with friends or if I'm lucky my best friend is Japanese and she usually brings me some whenever their family gets together

I've only ever had crab sushi. It didn't really have any flavor to it. I think the stuff is generally pretty good for you though. ^.^

Oh no, you're not serious are you? Eel sushi tastes like crap. Broiled eel, on the other hand, is fine. Tastes just like a normal fish fillet.

Um...let's see, I've had California roll, salmon, tuna, eel, red snapper, yellowtail, squid, octopus, mackerel, shrimp and crab.

I'd say the tastiest ones have been squid, octopus and mackerel. I lurv sushi...minus eel <.<

I'm not sure how much I like the squid. It taste good, but I like to take bites out of them, and the squid just comes off to stringy when I bite into it, I usually have to try to eat it whole which is hard

Haha, squid and octopus are sooo rubbery...but I don't mind, they're yummy ^_^

The one I really wanna try is blowfish...but I don't even know if sushi chefs can get licenses to serve that over here...

I'm way too afraid to ever try the blowfish. They have really good sushi place in Hong Kong that I try to go to when I'm there and every time I think about getting it, but knowing my luck I would be one of the unlucky ones.

Yeah, I'm way too freaked out to try it, too.

What we need here in Michigan is one of those revolving sushi bars where they have the different types of sushi placed in a conveyor belt with its own price tag on the plate. Snatch the ones you want and pay once you're finished. Not a bad way to have lunch if you're on a budget.

...hell, I'd try one of those blowfish ones. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

That does sound like a good idea. I think what we have here are the buffet type of thing where you pay before you go and then you get to pick which I sometimes hate! I think it cost me $20 last time I went, and that was just me! I mean thats a lot of money for raw fish

Blech. Sushi tastes like the ocean. Salty and watery, and seaweed?
-vomit-

I'll stick to steak thank you.

I've always wanted to try sushi but I've never seen any sushi bars where I live.

Salty and watery? What kind of sushi have you had? O_O That's not normal. Seaweed is good too, especially seaweed salad.

Steak is overrated.
