Just wondering...can we equip a summon with weapons? I noticed that when I used Shiva, she can only attack with her fists. Does she have any magic? Like Ice, perhaps? :)

Also, which summons are better? I'm thinking either Phoenix or Unicorn, but do they have their own special attributes?

will their was a summon called Red Panther and now he's a monster how come it can equip a weapon so our summon should equip weapons too

Red panthers don't have weapons anymore. Anyways, I dare you to find a single monster in FFII that can do dual attacks- it would be completely unauthentic if the folks at GZE decided to change this.

Ahh, I figured out about summons using magic. I'm like, "Duh". I can't seem to have my summon hit with its fist though. I mean, he keeps missing. I wonder that if I keep using his regular attacks, will it by any chance improve his hits? I mostly use him for using magic or as a decoy, but I wanna try to make him use regular attacks too.

Regular attack for the summons r weak coz they don't have a weapon so they don't deal that much of damage, but magic can take a good amount of your opponent HP

Anime dealt bitch loads of damage, he was no doubt the best summon :)

Umm, savior, I think you got confused. This thread is asking questions regarding the RPG system that is installed on the forums, not the FF series.
I know the topics title can be misleading, but the path where it is at, which is shown above the topics (this topic is located here on the forums >> Final Fantasy Forums > RPG Realm > RPG Cafe > Summon Question), so if ya look there, there will be less of a chance that you will post in the wrong thread.

On topic, I agree with Dark Cloud, oyu should use your summon as your magic user, while your character is the brute force attacker. This way the summon can heal you and damage or disable you opponents, allowing you to do more damage and also be able to take out those with high defense, but low magic defense.

It is because that is the way the game is setup. ZT does not want summons to have weapons.

No, summons are not allowed to equip anything because they are usually more powerful to start off, so weapons and armor are not needed.
