There was one example a few years ago of something similar. A Mexican restaurant hung a US flag on it's pole BELOW the Mexican flag ON Independence Day...
Imagine doing the reverse on May 5th. Admittedly, most people wouldn't even notice. But down in the southwest, the whole bloody region would explode.
I read the article originally on Drudge Report, and really the American kids were doing it to start crap by recognizing what Arizona's new law might mean for Mexicans. But the way the immigrants (whether legal or illegal) reacted was basically reinforcing stereotypes and couple decade long beliefs of why immigrants, and especially illegals, should be forcibly removed from the country.
And I've not even gotten into the fact that this situation with the t-shirts is just evidence that illegals apparently hold more political power now than nationals...
