Strongest Character

I dont know if this has already been (sorry if it has) but,
out of all the final fantasy games out there, who do you think
was the strongest character of them all?

Mine is probably squall seeing as he has renzokuken
 
I'd say Cecil. He was a top general after all.

I could also say Celes. She wasn't a general for no reason. She was a good physical attacker, a good magic user, and her runic came in handy when the enemy kept attacking you with super powerful magic.

Saban- the best fist fighter of the series. And his blitzes are badass.
 
I haven't played anything before FFVII...

#1) Cloud
Infused with vast amounts of mako after hojo's experiments, and after falling into the lifestream. Membered with jenova's cells. Carries the ultimate sword which can be junctioned with materia.

#2) Vincent
Not a huge Vincent fan, but it goes without saying...after hojo's experiments, Vincent stands out in a fight.

#3) Aerith
Last survivor of the Cetra. Holds authority over the power of Holy. Even in the lifestream, her conscience remains solid.

for me it would have to be Cloud, he has gone through so much torture and pain
 
Game wise it would have to be ties between Cloud and Squall. Cloud with Ultima Weapon and Omnislash can pretty much take out anything...the same thing with Squall with his Lionheart gunblade can dish out a ton of damage also.
 
Strongest in terms of shere attack power with one hit? Wakka with attack reels I believe.

Strongest person in a game meaning willpower to carry on through all the shit they've gone through? Cloud and Zidane. 2 very solid main lead FF characters who either have no idea about their past or are as confused as hell about it. They find themselves in jam after jam and still, in the end stand there at the point of no-return, basically yelling at the final boss who faces them and threatens eternal destruction: "You're full of Shit! Bring it on!"

but if you mean whole abilities for a VS fight , I would say Vincent Valentine
 
I think Steiner has quite strong ignorance, does that count?

As far as fighting goes, Cloud would win after his appearence in Advent Children (it's hard to believe SOLDIERs would be capable of that), probably closely followed by Sephiroth. Squall's true strength remains to be seen, what with him not having a movie. I'd assume he'd be a good rival to Cloud, though.

As for characters, I'd say either Yuna or Zidane have strong characters. Yuna managed to go through her game as a Summoner, ready to sacrifice herself for the greater good. That takes some pretty god-damned good willpower and resolve, amongst other things. Even after meeting Tidus, the love of her life, she was still willing to give her life. Then, just when it seems to be all over, she's still alive but... Tidus isn't. She travels for two years, hoping to find him, with no clues... In the end, though, they meet again. Still, it shows real strength to carry on after that.

Zidane, for reasons previously stated in the thread.
 
Hmm, as far as fighting goes...I'll have to say Cloud. Seeing him in Advent Children is enough proof, I think. ^_^ I mean c'mon, the guy can dodge bullets!

As a character...I'll have to go with Yuna. She really strikes me as someone with a very strong personality and spirit. The way she held her head high throughout her mission makes me really proud of her. And then when she broke down in the lake with Tidus...it really was heart-wrenching! But, she still carries on afterwards. That, to me, is a symbol of someone proud and strong.
 
a lof of folk would say cloud but........i reckon auron would be the man id put my money on. sumthin about auron i think and his sword is cooler!!
 
Theres 2 strongest characters IMO:

Male - Cloud - weve all seen what he can do in AC 0 the only one capable of defeating sephiroth and Damn handy with a sword ;)

Female - Aerith - Can cast invunerability - is basically Immortal (consiousness in the lifestream and all) possibly the greatest Mage type characyer in Any FF game ever - Great Gospel and KOTR would make aerith a formidable opponent even to a fully powered FFX team.

In Short - Aerith and Cloud should team up and take over the world - tey would so win :lol:
 
I'd have to go with Cloud on this one, for FFVII was my first FF rpg i ever played. Love the characters. As for the strongest i'd have to definetly pick Cloud.

Cloud is my hero!

Yuna, in FFX
strong, brave, never gives up, willing to sacrifice herself for the sake of others...
enduring the massive pain of the loss of her one true love...
and still going on after that, hoping to find him back, and even continue'ing when pretty much all hope was lost on finding "him" again
can't say anything beats that...
that is ofc, in personality... as for sheer strength... can't be bothered to care...
 
I think cloud is

yeah yuna is pretty strong probably stronger than cloud but i still like cloud better

Auron:for one he can exceed damage limit, he is VERY wise and all knowing, strong, knows the enemy well for hes been in Spira before,
fears NOTHING, will protect anyone he loves, has pride, and Courage
