Storyline

I am going to save the Four Horsemen for later. They go alone with the war section. Maybe after Elendil gets killed. I am not sure where Darkside belongs.

As for the Four Horsemen, they need to follow the descriptions I made earlier in the thread. As Tiel suggested, they could be used for pet quests. Which will probably not be until characters hit level 100.

White, Pestilence, Hippos Leukos
Red, War, Hippos Purros
Black, Famine, Hippos Melas
Pale Green, Death, Hippos Khloros Thantos

OK, guys, I gave you guys The Rules of Acquisition. Please read it. It should give you chuckles. It will cost everybody 200K. I need to either make an NPC that sells it or put it in a veryexpensive shop. Hey we can alter the Ferenginar's price settings.

I am also going to make a component called Gold Pressed Latinum. An expensive liquid substance, Lantinum, encased in gold.

Due to the fact that only mages can access the Fort Helencia, I decided to do something instead in order to avoid players playing through the hall of warriors to stay stuck.

I will add a "has been to X area" requirement, one for warriors and one for mages, which will make Arkon grant access to Fort Helencia.
 
That is not needed. Since you have people access the area from both Temple of Ancients (past), and Tower of Mages. I thought that was the plan. GEEZ.

edit: well that changed. What we had to do was create a time portal which gets accessed by an NPC at Tower of Mages and Temple of the Ancients (past). From the Time Portal, using an expensive transport service, player travels to Fort Helencia.

Just a little note, no monster will drop Gold Pressed Latinum. It has be purchased from Quark. :wacky:

Tournaments can be held here officially (Considering the activity of the RPG is high). You could win a rare item or something once you win. Of course, this place should be updated regularly to suit the needs for player who gain levels quickly.

Like the old Velencia. Well, I am looking into the ideas we discussed on MSN yesterday. I am still stumped on names. I could use the name Calm Lands. But I need a good picture. I think we should have the Chocobo Sage and Chocobo Nuts. Maybe have a Chocobo Farm. The Sage can drop the nuts and babble a bunch of nonsense. Also there might be Moogles who drop components Gysahl Greens and Chocobo Lure. I am rather lost here. These components would be needed to use the Chocobo Transport. Maybe the Chocobo Farms could be where the crazy encounter happens. Because you could continue to bread the Chocobos with the nuts. But the new ones are not tame. I know this is the ramblings of an old coot.
 
I just noticed something. We do not have a legend for Plains. :sad: I found a picture for Calm Lands and added it. Wow, a week and we added only one place. Well I need to do a description.
 
By the way, I did not see a Chocobo picture uploaded. I will pick some, from some sites. As for the level requirement, since the area really does not have any big rewards, lets not worry about it.

As for the areas, we could have a couple Calm Lands and one Chocobo Farm. I guess we could have a mountain with some more cave tunnels. Which leads to another secret location.

Now the "Trickster" is a special one. In FFXII, the "Trickster" is a legendary chocobo said to be the fastest and rarest of them all. Only seeing where other chocobos are in need of help. Hunting the "trickster" it's not easy though, since it has many magical abilities including a skill that gives temporal immunity to spells and physical attacks. We could apply my "Rare Monster" Hunt idea here, with this little guy. Give him a very low encounter ratio and make him drop a useless component that serves as a proof of slaying/taming a "Legendary Chocobo"

Man now I want a chocobo pet....

I was thinking of a possibility of adding a special Chocobo Pet area. But I really did not want to bother. We could add a Chocobo Pet area in the area where the Ifrit, Shiva and Tonberry pets exist. The Chocobo cannot be better than the Tonberry though.

I like the rare monster hunt idea.

Yes because that gives of an excuse to make a nightmarish (optional) boss.

Anyway, remember the legend we used for towns in the old RPG? We could use that to mark land areas or however we call them. I honestly can't think of something else, nor how to call them.

How about Road or something?
 
Would this optional boss have something to do with the pet? I am not sure what to do about the legend.
 
This gives me an idea for a quest. Player talks to someone in the Chocobo Farm that speaks of a "legendary" chocobo. He gives you a "Mark", a flier with the information about the monster. He says that the monster is someone near a "stormy mountains", maybe near the area where we could place the first fragment of the weapon. The "trickster" chocobo could be placed at the farthest section of the mountain area, making them fight for what they want. Also "trickster" will have the same LV of the monsters of that area, but only he will have a very low encounter rate making him hard to find in a battle.

I could take care of the trickster mission.

Due to the fact that we started all this Chocobo Calm Lands theme, we chose to put Cid in Ferenginar. He will fly a spaceship to Calm Lands. All the crazy passwords will be contained in the Chocobo Sage NPC. The Chocobo Sage NPC will be extremely annoying because he continues to forget crap.
 
Hey, don't get too rapped up in making spells. None of these will be for sale right.
