I've just noticed this, some celebrities have no morals whatsoever, here's what I mean, James Woods does Hades voice in a children's Disney show, Hercules, BUT he also was Torreno on Grand Theft Auto San Andreas, cursing like no one's business I might add.(''You'll be back in time for a b**w job and a bologna sandwich'') Ice Cube, in a children's movie, Are We There Yet, BUT he also used to be a rapper who used massively gratuitious language in his lyrics, Eddie Murphy, Donkey's voice in Shrek, I don't know about his past, but I think I remember him playing a role in a movie that would make Shrek say ''WTF!? That guy can't be you!'' Maybe it's just me, but if Jenna Jameson decided to be in an episode of Sesame Street, it just wouldn't sit right with me, what with her past and all, the only thing her presence would do is totally defile a pure atmosphere.

i agree with most of that but to them its all about money and popularity. but thats life. there is nothing we can do about it and also some of the celebs make good childrens tv, but i do get what your saying.

Agread on both. Its like Ice T. He had and ablum out called "Cop Killer" real hardcore cop hating kinda stuff. Nowadays he stars as a detective on some show like SVU or something busting bad guys. WTF? thought he was all the F**k the police and now he stars as one!!

Celebritys are as shallow as they come. I also noticed that alot of crooked preachers are just as shallow. I'm not saying all of them but a few I've ran into I just couldn't believe. Money hungry and sellouts. But thats what makes the world go round I suppose.

Nothing to do with FF, but what the hey? :P

There really isn't anything that you can do about it. They're actors, and it's their job so you can't really complain. It's not as if little kids are going about watching 18-rated films, and if they are then it's their choice.
Besides, I'm sure that you yourself swear, as most people do nowadays, but I'm sure you try and restrain yourself when in a certain crowd. Everyone does it, and therefore you're a hypocrit.

Its money at the end of the day and really their money. If you dont like what they do, they dont listen to their music or watch their films.

It should be pointed out with actors that what they do is act - just because they may act in a role that involves violence or swearing that doesn't mean they should be stopped from being in a kid's film or something - it's just a role they do. We'd have a lot of pigeon-holing of actors then for god's sake - someone like James Gandolfini would never be able to star in a comedy ever for instance. I don't see what's so immoral about it.

Okay, actors act the role their given to them no matter what it is, but what about rappers, (or is it just Ice Cube that does that?) they aren't given any script whatsoever, they do that on their own accord, like my previous example, Ice Cube, if someone had lyrics like his, you would not expect them to star in a kid's movie. (Also, I don't curse, well, just the ''minor'' swear words, but never the ''major'' ones.)

Well IMO, they're just words. They mean nothing unless you put the feeling into saying them. They're even in the English Dictionary for gawd's sake, so what's so bad about them really?
What difference does it make anyway if a rapper curses in their songs, and then stars in a kid's film? As long as they don't swear in the film, then the language won't rub off onto the audience. I don't see how that's immoral. Most parents swear around their kids nowadays anyway, so they'll pick it up one way or another. I'm sorry to say, but you just have to move with the times and get over it

Nah, I like complaining, xP, anyhoo, they don't just talk about that stuff, a lot of them actually did it, of course, I can only come up with one example of one rap guy who did that....

That has nothing to do with the point here though. Just because of someone's past experiences in life, does by no means that they can't act. It's not like they're taking those experiences and using them in their role. When an actor acts, he is playing a character that is very often different from himself in many ways.

well kids nowadays will google a persons name. so they google jenna jameson and.... well you can guess the consequence!!

I hope the OP was a troll post. Because if not, then my faith in humanity has taken yet another blow.
First of all, kids too young to use the net don't read the credits on their cartoons.
Secondly, kids old enough to use the net has already seen porn. Or they won't because of all the BS filters that float around the intarwebs these days.
Thirdly, saying "ooh someone shouldn't voice act a cartoon character because they have made movies where they say baaaaad words like "boogeyman" and other such words" is like saying "someone shouldn't act a cop if they in another movie acted a villain". It's just retarded.

In short, this thread fails to deliver.
