Stargate Atlantis RP ~sign up and discussion~

The story is based in the year 2050, it has been many years since the Atlantis expodition’s return to the pegasus galaxy. In memory of General john shepeard and his team there was a memorial built in west wing of the city when the final member of the team, Ronon dex, passed away early in the year 2043. The constant threat of Wrath in the pegasus galaxy is still there, although their numbers have been getting greater. The atlantis Experdition is still traveling and making ally’s in the Pegasus galaxy whilst battling the wraith. After many years of scientific progress the Apollo was finally able to power up the asgard core without giving away it's position to the Ori or the wraith and now the Apollo and it's two sister ships, he Daedelas and the General hammond have been kitted out with the asgard upgrades giving them an advantage over other ships.





As an rper you will join the atlantis expodition as either a civillian or military member and will either work in the City itself or as an offworld team member of one of the gate traveling teams. You could also break through the species barrier and play as a wraith, and if you choose to be a wraith you will NOT know the where abouts of Atlantis but you will be allowed to be in control of a hive ship. Weapon’s are the standard P90 machine gun with a 9mm handgun as sidearm. If you are a wraith then you will have the regular wraith stun weapon and also the ability to suck life out of other beings.

Question, would not a leader of SG1 keep to stay in in the milky way?
And not leave for the Pegasus galaxy?

Off course things can change over the years, and as this is a RP I'm not saying you cant, but it is sorta misleading.

Id like to join, as a Wraith, but not as of this date, as I have a few questions and would like for more to at least say they would join before signing up myself.
 
There is an SG1 team in the atlantis expodition, the team that was origonally lead by John shepard.

First impression: young courageous and also merry no matter what the situation, and optimist

Personallity: fun loving and optomistic, Stephen always looks at the glace as half full. Easy going and easy to talk to Stephen has many friends on atlantis and not many people disike him. Whenever off world Stephen will always make the best decision for his team, even if it involves putting his own life in danger.

Backstory: Stephen was raised in a military family and so moved about alot so he had many different schools in his young years, when he came of age he joined the army, and served for 6 years before he was recruited for the Atlantis expodition.

Being the youngest of three Stephen was always in the shadow of his siblings one of who was a harverd law graduate, and the other was an artist. Stephen on the other hand joint the military when he could.

Since joining the atlantis expodition Stephen spent a year in SG3 as one of the lower members but stood out from the rest of his team earning his promotion to the Leader of SG1 when the current leader died in a wraith hive.
 
now that I think of it, the original SG-1 team (O'Neill, Danijel, Teal'C and Sam) was disbanded.

so yeah, it be fine ^^

Well, as I said, Id gladly join as a wraith, but I wont make a char until someone other sign up. As a 2 man RP is not that funneh in length.

Personallity: shy, naive, smart, quiet, kind of a wall-flower
Backstory: When she was young she always wanted to make a difference and save the ones she loved from the threat of attacks somehow, it wasnt long before she found out about a position in the army that her parents died in a major accident, thats all she was ever told. Her parents dead she grew up in an orphanage.
She took computer courses and self-defence lessons as the owners of the orphanage believed in education and they taught many lessons to the children in their care. 2years later, when she reached 16 the owner of the orphanage mentioned joining the military, to protect his loved ones. That meant something to Krystal too, and she decided that she too would join, but to protect the memory of those she loved, After 5 attempts at the tests to get in, failing th first four times, she finally joined the military as a technology expert.
Although in the 5 years of combat for her squad in SG4 she didnt come near a computer as it was decided that she was needed more on the battlefield as a soldier and not a tech expert, she still showed signs of exceptional bravery and conduct in the lign of fire. Because of this she rose through the ranks reaching sargent-major.
That made her the highest ranked tech officer, and leader in that case, of her squad. it wasnt long before the bosses decided she would be needed elsewhere and she was replaced by the second in command and was transferred to SG1 who were in need of a tech officer, that was yesterday, Krystal having a rrived 3 hours ago, still doesnt know what to expect

-Age: Not really known, as he was been in hibernation for a few millennia.

-Rank: Highest commander onboard his ship, making him the leader, and captain.

-Appearence:
Has the common black cape that most of that rank has, as well as the long white hair, hanging past his shoulders.
He has a few face markings around his left eye, looking like spikes, or teeth, clamping down towards his eye.
His skin color is almost green-like toned.

-Personallity:
Wraith like. He cares not for the humans, for anything else the as a food source.
Intelligent, quick of thought, logical.

-Powers:
|-Feed: he can feed on a human subject, as well as other wraith. This restores strength and increases his healing speed imensively.
|-Gift of life: He can restore the life of human, and wraith, targets, by reversing the feeding process.
|-Regeneration: His wounds regenerate rather quickly, almost as one would assume from a vampire in old lore. This increase to an incredible level of he is feeding, or has just fed.
|-Strength: he has super human strength, and can without problem knock out most humans with a single punch, save it hits.
|-Being a Wraith: This gives him the mental powers, making him able to penetrate some humans mind, learning some of their thoughts. It can also be used to create ‘ghosts’, or ‘phantoms’, making some humans flee, or freak out.

-Other:
|-Ship: He owns his own Hive ship, with technology that follows, as well as soldiers.
|-Weapons: He carries one of the small stun guns in a holster on his right hand hip. And a sword fastened to his right hip. Both under the coat.

yea, it kinda does, but the main concept isn't that difficult to grasp, im not really that sure actually.
 
it doesnt matter that i never saw the atlantis version , nor did i see any stargate whatsoever aside from the film that came out back in the nineties then?

I meant, that the black sheet, was not made out right for the Wraith side.

Here, examples.

-Name: Have you ever heard a wraith state its own name? NO!, they use the physic link thingy.
-Age: I have no idea to how old they can be, but as they can hibernate for like.. 1000 years, one never knows.
-Nationallity: umm... exactly ^^
-Civillian or military: umm.. Do Wraith have either?


So it was not towards you, it was that Sephiroth did not seem to have made one for the Wraith side ^^
 
Well, i guess wikipedia is there for a reason. If it really does matter, say the word and ill not join. There will be no hard feelings.
 
Well, the thing here is that you don't need to know EVERYTHING.

If you dont know Stargate, here is a way to look at it.

there is a ring thingy, that can create a portal that looks like a puddle, this is connected to a similar device on a different planet. This menas you cna only travel to spesific planets taht have these rongs on them (this is the stargate)

Atlantis, is a HUGE Über technological city, opnaced on a differnet galaxy then we are in real life (we are in temilky way, Atlantis is in Pegasus).

You:
You are a tem of millitairy personell (or otherwise), that are basically explorers, ot find otehr planets, befiriend as many as you can.

however, this is where I come in, The Wraith.
They are the enemies ofthe human race, they litterally feed on them, via a slit in the palm of their right hand. One cna compare it to vampires, jsut instead of fangs they have a "wound" in their hand.

Atlantis (your city) is the main target to the Wraith, save Earth as that is the ultimate feeding ground. It has several small ships, that cna cloak themselves, as earth have 2 (or so) large ships taht can travel between the stars.
The ships on earth, are made there with the help if an alien race, so theya re fairly advanced.
The ones on atlantis, are even mroe advanced, and rather effective, though they cna NO use a hyper hump or such things.

The wraith are different, theire ships are of organic nature, which means that they acctually grow.
This, off course, takes a fairly long time, so it is not like you will see the ships regenerate.
They are FAR larger then the human ships.

The human ships (larger one) have several fighters, man made as well, they are fast and are piloted by a fingle man, or 2 persons.

The wraith version, look like throwing darts (slightly) thereby earning hte names "the Darts"
These have some interested tech, as they can "dematerialize" humans/lifing matter, nad store it in a box, where it cna be materialized at a later state.
this is often used when harvesting food (hmans).

The Wraith can take on several shots to the torso, without dying. Where as a head shot will be fatal redardless what race you are.
They yse weapons hat snd out an energy "blast" that if struck by will stun you, nad most likely knock you unconsious.

My Wraith carries a sword as well, though this is as any otehr blade, metal ^^

Fox is mostly right, although the City of atlantis is technically not a city more of a spaceship, it is like a fortress,

the Alien race that helped earth build it's intergalactic battle ships are known as the Asgard and are now extinct and all their technology wsa passed to the humans in a Core of all their technology and knowledge (the asgard core) which has now been duplicated and one has been installed in Both the general hammond and Daedelus.

there are three battle ships earth has, The apollo, the Daedelus, and the General hammond.

As a member of the Atlantis expodition, you will be completely cut off from your family on earth, but you will have the support and friendship from the atlantis team.

so, as long as you can grasp what myself and fox have said you will be able to join.
