Star Ocean: The Last Hope International Trailer!

The latest trailer for the Tri-Ace developed RPG is pretty epic. It’s purely in Japanese, but the music is just so good! In the trailer we are introduced to the cast from the game and some battle gameplay is shown. The game is looking quite nice, and should be worth the wait for all the fans that have been dying to play a new RPG on the PS3.


Star Ocean: The Last Hope International comes out on February 4th in Japan, on Feb. 9th in the US, and on Feb. 12th in EU. The game will feature Japanese and English voices and new content exclusively for the PS3.

Weird names indeed. Lymle Lemuri Phi (the character not the forum member!) as I seem to vaguely recall from earlier Xbox 360 trailers seems like a rather annoying character. Thankfully Edge's Japanese voice doesn't bother me as much.

The trailer itself is rather epic and dramatic- plenty of things going boom and emotive dialogue. The idea of being able to choose between the two voiceovers and having extra content and character is really appealing.

Oh she is!!! She is one of the worst characters Ive ever experinced. EDGEY!!! Shut the hell up you little git!! Ive tried to like her, but no matter how much I try, I cant warm to her. After some awful happens to her, I still cant like her!

She was nowhere near as irritating as Meracle, at least, who I wanted to wrap up in a sack and drown...

Anyways...they've managed to make this look even more epic than what it previously was. I am really, REALLY looking forward to playing it again.

I also have to wonder if they haven't just revealed who the new playable characters are going to be, as well...Crowe, Giotto and Eleyna weren't huge presences in the 360 version, and the fact that they've been included makes me wonder...those would be awesome choices, provided you didn't have to pick who you kept, as has been the custom in Star Ocean games...choosing between Arumat and Crowe would kill me...

Also, someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't remember that almost-kissing scene in the 360 version...new cutscenes as well, then? Its getting better and better~<3

I have to agree with you there about Meracle. Though I haven't played the game, I have seen a few cutscenes out of boredom. Meracle did really annoy me and I hated her character design. For Lymle- her English voice acting seemed atrocious to me.

It was a hidden cutscene I believe. You had to fulfil some conditions to get Edge and Reimi more and more intimate in these cutscenes.

The trailer does a good job of making things look dramatic. My hopes are still up ^^

The dual language makes me very happy. Now I can hear the original Japanese voice actors with English subs

Looks good although I've played the 360 version so there's not much in there that's new for me, other than minor graphical changes it looks the same game 8F

Ok this is the exact same shit tbh. Im not gonna even consider buying the ps3 version because I simply love the 360 version and they are the same thing except in battle changes. Oh and Edge going crazy on Reimi(kissing on the lips etc etc) That is the hardest Private action to get and yet they show it in a trailer? im shocked! Oh and where are the new characters?
