Square Enix’s ‘Project X’, which was said in the past that it’ll “blow your socks off“, has been revealed to be a role-playing game today – the update coming once again from David Hoffman’s Twitter account.

“New milestone just rolled in on Project X,” Hoffman wrote in a status update. “Can’t wait to reveal the latest and greatest RPG to come outta Square Enix.”

It’s suspected this RPG is to be a collaboration between Square Enix and another company. In the same update where Hoffman said our socks would be blown off, he also said: “The media thought SE and GPG was interesting – just wait!”

E3 is around the corner – less than three weeks away – so we’ll probably find out what exactly this ‘Project X’ is at the show.

Oh wow this has got to be really good news. I just can not wait til E3 too see exactly what this is. Whatever it is is making me excited mow :awesome: I know its not FF XV since its collaborating with another company :hmmm:

Whelp, it's already an RPG--that right there proves it will not "blow" anyone's socks off. :mokken:

Really, Hasselhof - I mean Hoffman? If this isn't just some arrogant claim to invite a lot of hype on the internet, I'm looking forward to seeing what it could be then. "Greatest" - tch, I doubt it. Didn't they once say that FFXIII would be the greatest in the Final Fantasy series when it was still in development?

I never thought Supreme Commander 2 made that much of an impact. :hmmm:

On a loosely related note, I wonder if SE is still collaborating with Tri-Ace for that very-possible Valkyrie Profile 3.
 
I swear, this "blow your socks off" RPG better be fookin' good. :mokken:
 
Well I have had my socks blown off before...Lets hope that SE makes up for FFXIII with this game.

Now I have a reason to watch E3 again :x3:

I hope its not an FF though I mean...seriously. I guess It'd be cool to see KHIII, or is that not possible?
 
This piqued my interest, but I'm sure I won't be that excited when it's revealed. Knowing my luck, it'll be game for a series I've never played.

It's not FFIX, Chrono Trigger, or Chrono Cross... GTFO.

Though, I take it they're building up hype, then at E3, it's a pile of shat. Or worse...
 
Meh, I can see it being dreadful. Wasn't Final Fantasy XIII supposed to be something "amazing" and Final Fantasy XII before that and X-2 before that. Square Enix are lucky they have a loyal fan base because the sales of their games don't reflect the quality. :ffs:
 
I would probably jizz in my pants (not really but you get what I mean) if it was something to do with the Chrono series. It's easily their best work IMO.

That would be the best thing SE can possibly do in E3 to make up for the underwhelming FFXIII.........

.......unfortunately being the cynical person I am, I'm positively sure that it will be something significantly more disappointing. I'm willing to hope though. xD

I'm pretty sure they're going to try and milk something for more cash flow that idiots will eat up like cake, or just another bland mediocre RPG. :sad3:

Status update on the upcoming “shocking” role-playing game from Square Enix only known as the ‘Project X’ that’s set to “blow your socks off“. Looks like they’re trying to get the game announced before E3.

“Trying to get [the unannounced game] announced before [E3 2010],” Square Enix producer David Hoffman tweeted. “Wish me luck…”

Good luck, Hoffman. Let’s see how much this game really wows us.

Well, well, well. Mr. Hoffman seems to be quite the rebel. :brow: He'll be dealt with, I'm sure. :mokken:


If this is some crappy RPG about anime men--I'll start to question this guy's sanity for rushing its announcement. :mokken:
