Square Enix has picked up yet another overseas WiiWare title for Japanese release. The company announced today a Japanese release for Lit. The download-only title will be released here under the name School of Darkness.

Developed by North America's WayForward Technologies and released in the US in January, Lit puts you in control of Jake and girlfriend Rachel as the two attempt to escape from a school covered in darkness. You use the Wiimote as a mock flashlight in over 30 stages of play.

School of Darkness will be released on December 22 at 1,000 WiiPoints.

You can tell it's Japanese influenced, especially since they have some messed up horror stories going around which a lot of them seem to involved schools or teenagers :wacky: I think I'll give this one a miss it ever hit Western shores 8F

Hmmm.... this has clearly drawn inspirations from games such as Fragile and Silent Hill. Although I have doubts as to how good this game will be. Being called School of Darkness doesn't up the appeal for me at all.

1000 points isn't as bad as another SE title I have seen on the Wiiware before, but considering I can pick up Majora's Mask or LostWinds 2 for the same price, I suppose I'll pass on this one.
