[Spoiler Galore] Favourite Cutscene(s)?

Oh god. There are a couple of contenders.

The first one is definitely the first cutscene, when Lightning attacks the train to free the Purgees. Right up until the second battle with the Warmech. That's epic.

Also, the Palumpalum (can't spell) cutscene when Yaag leads a platoon of soldiers to capture Hope and Lightning, but Snow and Fang come, and they and Lightning fight them off. It was great seeing an Eidolon in action with some amazing graphics.

Finally the assault on Eden at the very beginning of chapter 12 is so epic I was lost for words. Basically the action cutscenes.

Anyway, for me there were 4 that I probably liked more than any other cutscene in any other FF title.

1) The scene with Hope and Snow in Hope's hometown.
2) The scene with Sazh and Vanille where she admits it was her fault Dajh became a l'Cie.
3) The scene after beating the first Orphan stage.
4) The ending scene.

Anything with emotion pretty much :neomon:

Basically, any cutscene where I was left with my jaw on the floor, for any reason. Usually something story-wise, but the cutscene from the beginning of chapter 12 was just incredibly gorgeous.
 
My favorite cutscenes were the fmvs in chapter 11 (Gran pulse) The ending of course(makes me cry all the time) I loved the beggining of chapter 12 with all the summons. I pretty much loved all the beautiful scenes. Snow and Serah Kissing.
 
Mine was watching the battle of Pulse at the festival with Vanille and Sazh. It was just amazing and breathtaking animation. There are several others also. But thats the one so far that makes me smile when I think of it. Plus the opening kicks ass :-)

Ooh - there were many cutscenes in this game and a lot to choose from. In the end, I settled with these five I've seen so far:

1) Pompa Sancta parade in Nautilus - Yes, it is Sanctum propaganda dressed up as a parade - but it's one of the prettiest scenes I've seen yet in the game in my favourite location so far. It was nice to see FF summons such as Carbuncle, Siren and Ifrit pop up like that in an unusual scene.

2) Escaping to Gran Pulse - This weird flying serpent thing crashes into the airship while Fang saves the party with an impressive co-summon of Bahamut with Lightning. I loved it in the trailer, I loved it in the game as well.

3) End of Chapter 8 - The tense scene where Sazh confronts Vanille and Brynhildr shows up. It was really surprising when I first saw it - and it's very memorable.

4) Snow and Serah pursued - In Bodhum - PSICOM troops chase Snow and Serah, then the two take off in a hover and Serah ends up being imprisoned in the Vestige. The bright, CGI visuals were stunning and it really brought the action to life.

5) The Cavalry Arrives in Palumpolum - Yaag Rosch and his troops outnumber Lightning and Hope, then Snow and Fang make an unannounced entrance to do some damage with Shiva. It's again another awesome CGI scene with plenty of action.

I look forward to seeing the assault on Eden and the ending. ^_^

Sazh tries to kill himself but cant because vanille is soooo cool in that cut scene and she acts like and entirely differnt person, other than rain bow sunshine vanille in chapter 8.

That was cool
 
I have quite a few favourite scenes in this game, some are just too awesome. xD
Well, i'll list mine, since I really can't be bothered finding videos.
  • Where Jihl shows Sazh the 'video' of Vanille and Fang, thus revealing who was really responsible for the incident, and the scenes before/after Brynhildr too. Quite powerful.
  • The scene with Hope and Snow in Palompolum, the ending of that looks quite painful for Snow. xD
  • The assault on Eden, best FMV I have ever seen, no questions asked.
  • Basically all of the end cutscenes, but the ones with Vanille and Fang
    being tortured by Orphan
    was very powerful. (And quite dark, too.)
  • The scene where you find out Lightning's real name in Oerba. Says it all really. xD
  • The scene when the party first reach Gran Pulse after fighting Bahamut, and Lightning and Fang "co-summon" Bahamut, as such. <3
I could go on, but these are the ones that have stuck with me. As for ones that could've been improved, i'd have to say the one where Bartandelus
kills Jihl,
I was quite disappointed as I was expecting so much more from her.
