I really like the second one, so that got my vote. Though admittedly the border kinda bothers me The pumpkin thing is what I think of when I think of Halloween (we don't really 'do' it here) and the cartoony art style is nice to look at.
The first one is cool, but - and maybe it's just my monitor, so apologies if I'm mistaken - the writing kinda blends in a bit too well with the drabness of the background.
Well. They're two very distinctly contrasting approaches to the theme.
Going with #2. It's easily the more aesthetically pleasing one for me of the two.
#1 has an interesting idea with that highly contrasted background and what looks like a scare jump in motion, but the skeleton creature doesn't look like it's part of it when you consider the light source. Also, that text just doesn't do it for me. It's rather distracting.
I voted two. The blending, colouring and composition all work really well. Having the orbs behind and in front of the web and pumpkin helps add more depth to it as well!
Number one is really cool too. The positioning of everything is great, but I think the text could have done with standing out a bit more. More could have been done to make the skeleton pop out more too. I think the whole piece just looks really flat. Maybe a bit of gaussian blur on the background would have helped bring the skeleton and the text more to the foreground.
Number 2 was easily most pleasing for me in the end. I love the vibrant colours and it makes the orbs look good as well. Pumpkins are also my favourite thing in Halloween, especially when I was younger. Number 1 rather looked like a basic image to me with a skeleton pop up. I also think the text takes away from the whole image as well and I found that to be a bit of a bummer in comparison to two.
