Sony Vegas Pro 9 help

I'm trying to add subtitles, and I can't get the background color to go away, so it blocks the video. Anyone have any experience with the damn program?

And before you ask, i've already tried tuts, loads of them. They don't tell me how to get rid of the background color.

And I have a feeling I'm not gonna get my answer.

I've got the same version and I'm sure I've never had any problems with this.

I'll open it up this afternoon after work and have a look at my settings and let you know in here then. =)

um, nevermind. xD I played around with it and found that you have to have the text in a different layer than the video itself. So, i no longer need help, but thanks for trying you guys!
