I seem to trot out this old thread on every forum I come to...

What song(s) would you like played at your wedding and/or funeral? In the latter case, assume you'd been able to choose before your death etc (or just pick what you'd want regardless).

Wedding:
Fell in Love With a Girl - The White Stripes
I Think I'm In Love - Spiritualized

Funeral:
Nightswimming - R.E.M.
Untitled 1 - Sigur Ros
Black Dollar Bills - Hope of the States

I don't really see a difference between the two :P lol

Nah though, I'd pretty much just like to hear rock pretty much any time. Some softer stuff for meaningful events though. I can only think of one exception... if I get cremated... I don't want to hear Dust in the Wind by Kansas. lol But my to-be wife will probably want to do all the wedding planning... and when I'm dead I could care less. Let them play bagpipes and bang pots together for all I care.

My one request is that "Highway to Hell" is played at my funeral. For the laughs xD
I'm not sure about my wedding though. I haven't planned that far ahead

Hm, not sure.

I'd say for my wedding Id like "The Auld Triangle" by Dropkick Murphys. reason is because the bagpipes and the fact its an old Irish song would be perfect as Im from a massive Irish family and itd be a hoot!

And for my funeral I would have Berlin's "Take My Breath Away." Because its a song from my childhood.

I just sung Dust in the Wind last night. Hmm. Nice song. I don't know what song I'd choose for when I do. Frankly, I don't wanna jinx myself. =/

Songs that I would've liked to hear in my wedding was "Born for You". Maybe someday that would happen.

Anyone want to bet she didn't get the joke I made?

Is that when you get your resay your vows? :D I think that's cool, honestly.

Hmm...there was a joke to it? =/ Well whatever, I don't wanna get off-topic.

And yes. The song might change though, I don't know. But I really like that one.

i think at my wedding i would like to hear "Were in this Together Now" by nine inch nails, i think it would be fitting for any relationship i would go through...

ive always said that at the moment of silence at my funeral i want the solo from Opeth's "A Fair Judgement"playing, defeats the point of a moment of slience i know, but every one would be quite so they could fully enjoy just how great a solo it is...

Well me and my fiancee had a chat about this the other day.

We decided we'd have the Dale and Ming's wedding march by Brian May for going down the aisle. Followed by something real upbeat and heavy for walking out havn't decided yet.

For my funeral I'd like Metallica's "Wherever I may Roam" played as the songs lyrics "My body lies, yet still I roam" are on my tombstone.
Maybe Meat Loaf's "Where Angel's Sing" or "Heaven Can Wait" too idk.
