Dont just vote please post what you like about the one you choose and how to improve the other two.

The problem I see here in general is the "floating head" effect. It is recommended to add more about the stock and not just the head. In terms of backgrounding and effect, I go for the second although you could vary your effects more and add more colour.

The third one is a little...odd. Floating heads around aren't too appealing, to be honest. I like the 2nd one the best. I do agree with Julius though that there should've been a bit of the shoulders shown, although this is still an artistic concept in a way. It looks like he's emerging from the blinding light and is that...mako? xD I like the color theme here, and the dark bit certainly adds a bit of depth, although it could still surely use some more.

But yeah, overall good job. How long have you been working with photoshop?

its not photoshop its gimp unfortunately... and i was goin for him fading into the life stream... but failed horrably... its totally different tangent, i went on for this one.

2nd one is easily the best, I like what you were trying to do with it, but like they said just try and do more than the head.
