Soldier asks Girlfriend to Marry Him, but gets wrong number

A Soldier serving in afghanistan, rang what he thought was his girlfriends phone number today and left a message asking her is she would marry him however the woman that got this message wasnt his actual girlfriend.

this was just on my local news, and thought it was rather hillarious especially as know one know who the soldier is or who the women is he has asked to marry, all we know is her name.... Sam

i think she lives in Newcastle or somewhere in the North East of englans as it was the North East News

You wouldn't expect anything to go wrong whatsoever with that, but that's the hilarity in some things that happen. Maybe she changed numbers? Poor guy.

I'm not entirely sure why this made the news though, unless he's asking for her number or some sort of contact details? Either way, I hope he gets her number and says yes, especially after all that.
