Hell no I wouldn't. After playing XII I figured out it's the Empire with the right motives and more interesting people

Oddly, I forgot to take this into account when mentioning whether or not I'd join the party.

The "antagonists" do have far more interesting people on their end of the seesaw, which is only contributory to the motives expressed. Though the actions taken by this 'side' fall under a morally gray category, their goal is undeniably absolute and justifiable. Not so much Vayne's desire to rule as Cid's compulsion to reel the power of their own kind back to themselves; but everything has its flaws. I'd certainly join them with the intent of fighting it out for justice and freedom.

I've been thinking, if you were thrown into a world identical to Ivalice in FFXII, and Vaan and the gang asked you to join up with them, would you? also what would your personality be like? And your main weapon? (E.g. Bow, Sword)

Here's mine:

I would try and sound wise and mysterious (Not that it would do much xD)
Use a 2 Handed Sword, and yes, I would go with Vaan and gang.

The answer: I would join the judges instead

Awcht, aye, I probably would - but purely because I know what's in store and how blatantly amazing the experience would be. I think I'd aspire to be something in between Basch and Balthier - somewhat heroic and brave [Basch] while being relatively relaxed, yet not too cocky [Balthier]. As for any particular kind of weapon, I've always preferred to equip my characters with swords, or anything close to it.

I'll second Nihilus' sentiments, regarding how justifiable the Empire's goals were.

i would be a head hunter/mark hunter and i would use my bare hands as my weapon and i would use magick and telekinesis for flying opponents

I'd be a thief/ninja; I prefer knives to swords or guns. Having a bit of magic too might not be a bad idea...
