So Apparently the Olympic Torch...

Do they allow women to bear the olympic torch? :hmmm:

Or, are they afraid letting women carry the torch would bring bad luck and suffering to the olympic games and curse the event for 10,000 years? :grin:
 
I've seen a picture on Twitter of a little girl holding it so I presume yes.

I'm tempted to pop to the pub around the corner and watch it go by with a pint and a pie. However on the other hand I could just stay here, have a spliff on my roof in the sun and crack on with the last chapter of Final Fantasy XIII. :hmmm:
 
I was hoping someone would read my post, realize they had never seen a female gendered person carry the torch & go off on an entertaining rant about the olympics being "sexist" for "not allowing" female gendered individuals to be torch bearers.

If only on how fond I've noticed some are for playing "sexism" / "racism" / "homophobia" cards. :ohshit:

There was a brief moment before I posted where I was tempted to say how much of a sexist cunt you were being.

But then I remembered im a twat and thus s******ed instead.

I wouldn't be all that excited; although to be fair I doubt the Olympic torch will go anywhere near my town, seeing as primarily it is below London anyway, and secondly this town is just... there are no words. :)

They came down here as well, we even got the massive radio 1 event. Apparently we managed to consume the most alcohol ever at a radio 1 event apart from one over in Ireland... don't know whether that says more about us or Ireland

My friend was a torchbearer and decided to bring it into 6th form yesterday, cue loads of people asking him if they could have a photo with it :wacky:

Im assuming its gunna be going through manchester at some point... if its not already. But I can't say Im fussed.

The 'event' has annoyed my housemate. As the relay didn't go through the town centre, and thus not past his shop, he is blaming it for the lack of customers and his unbelievable bordom.

I used to live in Salisbury :O It was mostly okay there; yet the group of people I always seemed to get involved with turned out to be absolute tossers. I live back in Kent now; which isn't as eventful, but probably less scenic. :(
 
A really nice girl I know from school is carrying the tourch in our town, sooo looking forward to seeing her carry it ^_^
 
Apparently the torch is actually coming to my town...
-facepalm- I really don't care, sadly. No one close to me is that bothered by it either, and I expected a few to be. Hmm.
