I'm new to this, got CS2 a week or such ago, but I'm fairly impressed with what I have done. xD

I spent a lot of time meddling with Photoshop options :wacky:

For a newbie, you've definitely got this thing down. I especially like the first two. I can tell you'd be great at lighting when you finally do get most of the basics down. xD Now, my advice is to work on a smaller signature scale. The current size that you have is good for experimental-purposes, but if you really want to make some decent pieces, I would definitely recommend a smaller size. This way there would be less space for you to work on and in turn make the piece more 'alive' in an aesthetic sort of way. Try downloading some brushes and C4Ds too and see what you can come up with.

For only having PS a week ur doing really well =)
I already seems ur on your way to having blending nailed, that can be hard but u seem to manage fine. I would suggest using smaller canvases at the moment. Their easier to fill, where as large canvases are hard when ur still learning the basics.
Keep practising though, i can tell youre gunna be good at this.

Here's something I did for a member.

Tbqh I HATE the text and it's TOO blue. but meh, whatever.

Yeah the text looks weird down in the corner. In my opinion text rarely ever looks good in the corner, try and keep it more central ish.
Try reducing the size a little, its quite big and the empty space is noticeable. The colours are nice though i like the contrast between the white and blue. Its not that bad at all it just needs a few adjustments.

Hmph.

This is my newest one, I like it, but I don't think it's that great =/

The effects on the fran one are definitely and imporvement to the ones in the first post, however, as you pointed out, it's not great. Just keep practicing and improving. :)

They're definitely good for how long you've had photoshop, btw.

Wooow, that's pretty amazing. I have to say I'm pretty impressed. For having and messing with Photoshop for only a month, you've progressed pretty quickly. I see that you're starting to use the filters and texturing to your advantage. Great job, keep going <3

I see you've come a long way from the start that you had which by the way wasn't bad at all. =) The latest piece is a little big for a signature I'd say but either way, lets move on. The colors used on the last one even if they so match the image, I recomd using colors form the stock it self for the moment that way you get a better flow and of course try the blending again like you did on your first attempts. =)
Right now, the image looks like two pictures were placed together: a character and some random background, try to avoid that, dear.
In the end, the text is also a little bothersome seeing how its lightly tilted, its not always a good idea to use tilted text and that is the case in most signatures. Do not tilt your text!
It wasn't appropriate in this one, anyways.
Anyways, you're on your way, keep going. <3
