Shen Plays: Ib

Oh RPGMaker, so many fond memories. I'll give it a watch when i'm back at home.

Ha I love it! I've only seen episode 1 so far but it looks right up my street. I've never heard of this game, so it'll be fun to watch along.

The coughing man painting...I honestly thought it was you until you commented lmao.

*Meow* :3

I regret to announce that this is the final part of this Let's Play.

But fear not, dear viewers! For there is still more to this adventure than what I have presented before you.

As stated, there are multiple endings to this game, all based upon your decisions. If you wish to dive into this adventure yourself, simply follow this link:

Being an RPGMaker game, you will need to install a (provided) file in order to run such games. Other than that, Ib's fate lies in your hands.

Since this is the last portion of my LP, let's discuss the game, shall we? From this post on, there ARE spoiler warnings.

Oh, also: FANART!

Ahhhh, I loved every second of it. Thanks so much for sharing!

Ok, like you said there'll be spoilers now so I won't bother with spoiler tags. To see Gary in the real world made me so happy. The parents too! I wonder...do you die if you go with the parents instead of Gary at the end? Before you re-enter the real world? Also, is there a different ending if you talk to the parents in the real world instead of Gary?

...I'm gonna have to check out the other endings...

Thanks again :)

In all honesty, I haven't tried talking to Ib's parents before speaking with Garry. Perhaps I'll have to boot up the save files and see what happens...

My first playthrough was very... emotional. I had lost Garry thanks to Mary and was angrily trying to pursue her. Mary was last spotted running straight out of the building. Not knowing any better, I entirely skipped the room blocked with thorns and tried to chase after her.

Then came the opportunity to go back to the former Gallery. I didn't want to leave Garry behind, so I declined. And wound up with the worst ending: Ib Alone.

It had been a very long time since I had actually cried thanks to a video game. I'm not ashamed to admit that this game did exactly that.
