How about it, folks? Are you forced to wear uniforms at your school? If so, do you like them? They ain't too ugly, I hope.

Um, when I was going to a private school during my Kindergarten years and Grade 1 and 2...yes, we had to wear uniforms. I didn't mind them, actually.

I had to wear a white blouse with a necktie, and a long red and white striped skirt. I'd post it, but it'd take me awhile to find the pictures. On Wednesdays, we had to wear all white, including the necktie and skirt. On Fridays, that's when we had our P.E. time, so we wore a different uniformed shirt and red pants. So yep, we were all pretty identical during Fridays, since the boys had to wear the same thing as well.

Dude, I have a feeling you made this thread before on some other forum =D
Just kidding.

I don't think uniforms are ugly, in fact, I think they're awesome. Well, anyways, the ones that I was 'supposed' to wear, and the one that I used to anyway. But then again, it's only been 3 years since I started wearing casual.
Back to the uniform. It was a supposed to be a dark green blazer, complete with tie and white shirt and matching green pants. It was kinda awesome if you actually saw it, but I'm sure you're thinking 'leprechaun'. :P

People could never "force" me to do anything. They tried to put a uniform on but it only lasted until i got out of sight, then it got thrown in the trash. The uniforms only lasted one year at that school. All they ended up doing was picking them up out of the trash everyday. Waste of money if ya ask me.

Not where I used to live.
We all loved them, even though the option was open for casual change.
Even though it does encourage conformity, the staff always wanted what was best so it wasn't stupid looking.
Plus, mandatory tie day. Easy to put on and really comfortable. Also prevents slackiness.

School uniforms? it's ok about them, but in my private school, we dress a stupid black and white dress, and when you wear a coloring thing, they punish you maybe for a week!! I know it's stupid! but it's better than outfits because outfits you will wear them many times and maybe some gossip students in the cafeteria will whisper to eachother----> "uh is that T-shirt she wore last week?" "oh yeah and her shoes too" "look at her jeans she wear them like everyday!"
and you can't go shopping everyday! :S

Yup, we have one but it's not too degrading. Just a black blazer, striped tie and black bottoms. And they only intorduced tit 2 years ago.

Gosh.

For both primary and high school I had to wear a uniform and both involved wearing ties :(
Im annoyed as when I left both schools, girls were finally allowed to wear pants instead of skirts. Which pissed me rightly off!

I had to wear a uniform at a christian school for about 7 months.
And for shit's sake, I'm not even a christian...<__<

Uniforms are itchy and uncomfortable.
But then again...Id rather see everyone wearing uniforms than to see some girl's ghetto booty hanging out of her thong that's pulled up around her waist.

Hell no; that's why I love college. You can go into class with a sleeve-less Tee on, bball shorts, hat backwards, chewing gum and have a bottle of Mountain Dew in your hand and a toothpick in your mouth. Ohhhh yeahhhhhhhh!
