Warrior of Light
Be a Survivor; not a Statistc
Like Elin poor Sandra's taken quite the beating. Her marriage fell apart amid affairs by her husband yet she's remained civilized and strong. I admire her for her strength and scorn Jesse for his tactless self-promotion and self-centerness. I find the below particularly pathetic:
"The decision to let my wife end our marriage, and continue the adoption of Louis on her own, has been the hardest. The love I have for Louis cannot be put to words. Not having him around to love and to hold has left a huge hole in my heart," he said.
"Sandy is the love of my life, but considering the pain and devastation I have caused her, it would be selfish to not let her go. Right now it is time for me to beat this addiction that has taken two of the things I love the most in life."
The decision to let your wife end the marriage? Jesse sir, you don't decide whether she divorces you are not. She has the right to end it any time she so pleases and considering what you did to her, you definitely don't have any right to even feel like you're "letting" her.
I find it horribly disgusting that he's acting like a matyr and blaming it on an "addiction", rather than being straight-up honest that he messed up. I find it remarkable that while he continues to play the pity card Sandra's being extremely strong showing just how little that man ever deserved her.
Hopefully Sandra will find another man, one worth of her trust and devotion.
