Existence of Uncharted 4 a possibility

As we know Naughty Dog have split their team of developers in two, now we know one team is working on The Last of Us but we are uncertain as to what the other group is doing. That’s not saying we don’t have a good idea, as it’s looking more than likely to be Uncharted 4 and we could have had our first clue as to the existence of the game.
In the video (below) we get to learn about a new online multiplayer contest for Uncharted 3 where you are asked to capture your best moments in this sort of training camp, we are then told that Naughty Dog will look through ten of what they feel are the best and then narrow these down to just two players.

The final two will be pitted against each other to see who can win a multiplayer contest, the winner will then appear in the next Uncharted title. Now there is no confirmation if this is U4 but we cannot see it being anything else, it wont be the follow up to Golden Abyss because Naughty Dog didn’t have a lot to do with the PS Vita game, which can only leave Uncharted 4.
It’s not hard to jump to conclusions because we know the developer has already said they will keep making the series, well all the time fans still want to see Nathan Drake and his friends. There are still a number of uncertainties regarding the next game from the franchise the first is the release date and the second is the console it would be made available on.
There have been a few suggestions when it comes to when Naughty Dog will release the next Uncharted and if it does go ahead then some fans of the franchise believe that a couple of years break is needed, upon reflection this seems a little strange, as there was a two-year gap from Among Thieves to Drakes Deception.
Even it NG does stick to the same release cycle then recent rumors suggesting the next game will be a PS4 release title would make perfect sense. A game like this will be important for the launch of the PlayStation 4, but the developers need to make certain they learn from their past mistakes. The first Uncharted title was a good game but the second version was much better, things then went bad again when the third installment did not live up to its predecessor. It’s hard to know what direction Naughty Dog need to go in but we do have a few ideas here.

It’s not a surprise that Uncharted 4 might be on the horizon, even if this is only a rumour. I do honestly hope that it is on the PS3 though, and not a PS4 title (though acknowledging my luck, it’ll probably most definitely be on the PS4 and available only in gold).

PS4 will likely be a very expensive console on release, just like the PS3 was. I wouldn’t be able to buy a PS4 without turning to a life of crime. I don’t do that sort of thing, so I’ll probably wait for years and years until PS4s are reasonably priced. If this is the case, I’ll probably be as old as Sully when I finally get UC4. I'm not ready for a new generation of console now... I still feel as if there is much to look forward to with the PS3. The PS3 is far from dead to me.

That competition to get placed in the game is a fantastic idea though. I love that sort of thing. It’s an interesting way of engaging with your fanbase. I hope that is what it is, as it wasn’t as clear in that video. The video seems to suggest that you’d get help in the development of the game but did not say what that would involve (unless in my skipping through the video to get to the Uncharted bits I missed more information).

I never buy a newly released console right away. I always wait till it decrease in price and/or a better perhaps slimmer version gets released like ps3 slim for example.

New consoles will most likely to have many bugs etc. and huge prices so I rather wait till the time is right.

The problem with the current ps3 slim is that it has low memory. The memory will not suffice.

It will take some years to develop UC4, but I think by then ps3 will be overdue, so you never know.
