I'll be honest...
I have a tough time on the roads. To begin with, I'm afraid each and every time I get into my car and fasten my safety belt. You could be the best, most skilled driver in the world, but that doesn't mean a thing when an incapable driver--be them drunk, senile, distracted (cellphones...), or generally unskilled--plows into you at a high speed. That said, I'm always on edge when I drive. I'm not the most relaxed person at such times. I'm not relaxed...and I'm certainly not in a pleasant mood.
When I look up into my rearview mirror and see a car tailgating me, I get angry. Really angry, as a matter of fact. I don't appreciate being endangered by some impatient jackass...particularly if I have family, friends or other people I care about in the car with me. Moving 65-80 MPH, it'd be impossible for them to stop with a mere 6 inches seperating us if I needed to apply my breaks.
There have been many instances where I've gotten into some pretty serious altercations with other motorists on the road. I've gotten out of my car to confront people. I've gotten into shouting matches...and I've even gotten into a straight out fight on one occasion. It's interesting. I'm by no means a violent person who enjoys fighting. Off the road, I'm perfectly fine...
...but once I get into that car, I lose it all. It's dangerous, really. You don't know who has a gun anymore.
But anyway! Enough of my rambling. Can anyone else relate to what I'm saying?
