I started playing my snes recently. Super Mario World an awsome game as is All-Stars. I think i might try to find my old game boy colour and start playing tetris and pokemon yellow.
Has anybody else done this recently? Maybe with a mega drive, game gear or an atari?

I'm doing the now actually, I'm going through my back catalogue of SNES, N64, Dreamcast and GBC games that I've either not completed or not done so 100% and loving every minute of it.

Well, since I don't have my SNES with me, I downloaded an SNES emulator onto my computer. I've been playing a lot of old school RPGs like Legend of Mana, Tales of Phantasia, and Star Ocean.

Yeah, I still play on my SNES and mega drive from time to time on super mario world and the old sonic games (1, 2 and 3)

I still play my old systems quite regularly. Especially my NES. It gets almost as much love as my PS2. xD

I used to play a system called a Turbografx-16 and a Turbo Duo quite regularely as well until for some reason it stopped working regularely.

I guess it moving a lot unfortunately damaged it too. The laser is screwed on it as we've known too.

I maintain that SMB3 and SMW were perhaps the most brilliant platformers ever. Absolutely amazing games - and that's saying a lot for me, since I generally dislike games that are only for playing's sake (eg. sports games).

I'll also always remember SMRPG... my first RPG and still one of my favorites. I really wish something would come to the Wii or the DS in the vein of a Seven Stars spin-off or sequel. It's not like FF's where spin-offs become anathema to the original story - one of the best things about Nintendo is that doesn't take itself seriously enough to have a story that doesn't already mock itself in some part.

I also love Earthbound (I'll admit I didn't play it until a few years ago, on a ROM). Seriously so quirky... I love works that have tiny, but cultish fanbases. It's like having a secret clubhouse, but eternally dorkier.

Mario Paint deserves some say, at least for the fly-swatter game, lol.

Yoshi's island was kinda cute, but mostly meh. I don't really have that much fun when I try to replay it.

Haha I love Earthbound too :). It was a difficult RPG though espcially at the begining.

Lately I've also had a strange addiction to the game Kid Icarus and I used to hate that game. :O

I've been playing some old games on my computer with emulators. Right now I'm playing Shining Force II for Genesis, and I'm trying to finish up Tales of Phantasia for the SNES.

A few months ago I played through Phantasy Star on my Sega Master System emulator.

I frequently play my older games like The Legend of Zelda, Pokemon Red, Super Mario and Metroid.

Huh...they're mostly all from Nintendo.

I'm playing through super mario world, and Ocarina (if thats considered retro). Ocarina is one of the best games ever made, hands down.
