Replay Editing

Nice little edit. I've tried it and given up on it xD I'd rather just leave it as default anyway =) I like watching the HP drop when I beat my opponent down. Besides, fighting games can't just be a show xD Unless you do something really epic.. <.<

Nice replay, not partial to the music, but to each his own I guess haha. Ya it took me a while to figure out that the normal cams don't pan and such, you gotta use the 'green' cams as I like to call them :P. I've only attempted 1 and it's completely free-cam'd so some pans and such are sloppy looking, but comments would be appreciated :)

Nice editing, but how the heck do you get the music in there? Do you do it in the actual editing itself or on a computer programme like Windows Movie Maker? I've been trying to do this for a while, but it's too confusing for me.

I've tried replay editing myself but I always have 3 problems.

1. THe battles never last more than a minute

2. They are always one-sided

3. I'm awful with camera angles, since I can't pause it in parts :gonk:

Any tips? :gasp:

1. Make the battles last longer than a minute.
If you're having battles that are less than a minute long, you're obviously not fighting someone/thing worth fighting. Get to Lvl 100, and fight a Lvl 105 by setting the CPU Lvl at 'Auto' and 'Maximum'. Fight someone who's REAL. Make your battles interesting.

2. Give the bad guy some favor.
Remember in all the movies you've watched as a kid? Remember how the bad guys would always win the first battles and then the good guys win in the end? Do something like that. If you find yourself being "too pro" at Dissidia, then dumb down a little for your AI opponent to hit you and then you turn the tables at the end and pwn them.

3. Oh well :3
I don't even edit my replays. I just leave them as they are. Allows everyone to see it in default mode :3

As for 1, when I do fight something worth my time, it just goes on forever with me and the AI (level 105, everything set to max) just dancing around each other, trying to land a hit. Which can go on for a good 5 minutes but it just gets boring in the end.

2, That's a good idea, I might try it out sometime :)

3, Might leave it as they are, I don't think fast enough to make a half decent replay, especially since a lot of my fights get brought into the corners :wacky:

I converted the replays to avi and transferred them to my computer, then imported them into Movie Maker and dragged the audio files in. When you're editing the replay, on the screen just before the battle begins where you choose the BGM, choose 'no bgm' to disable it. Once you have the file in Movie Maker you can add custom tracks.

Jack Frost: 3. if you're backed into a corner, swivel the camera around to face the wall. If that doesn't work you could switch the view to one of the battle-cams and then switch to another camera afterwards. Say for example you get bashed into a corner, you would swivel the camera around to your opponent's back or switch to their battle-cam.
