Just a quick reminder to all forum members, please do not be wary of using the "Report" button. It is there for a reason. I know it can seem like you're bothering us by reporting blatant spam, flaming, trolling, etc... but we can't catch it all. So please, help us. Use the report feature.

Just a reminder though, be sure that what you report is actually breaking the rules in one way or another. At least to the best of your knowledge. Please don't report someone just because they disagree with you on an issue. However, as long as you stay cool and calm and just click that report button a mod will be along eventually to check it out. We'll be able to assess the situation then. And as long as you didn't break the rules yourself, there's no need to worry. Just stay cool and click that button if you think there's a situation that needs attention. Thanks.

Good show, sir. Another way to cut back on spam is to just ignore bad threads entirely by keeping them off the "Most Recently Posted In" list.

PS: lol at my stats

anyways its good of you aztec to remind members that there is nothing to worry about in reporting issues so i tip my hat to you XD

ps:yeah lol lucky man 777

But also remember everybody: snitches get stitches.

(See, what I'm doing here is displaying a post that might be acceptable to report, thus contributing to the thread. But seriously folks, they do.)

I knew this already. I report the usual spam bot threads, and threads that need to be moved to correct sections.

..You've never come across double posting, spam, flames, hard to read threads, threads placed in the wrong area or spambots? Amazing.

There are only about three people who consistently report posts. And actually, they do a fairly decent job of keeping on top of it. It would just be nice if everyone would contribute.

i think that everyone needs to be more vigilant about reporting posts, the mods are human after all and can't be expected to be everywhere.

the fact that Gabranth didn't even know there was a report button is quite worrying, so thanks for the reminder Aztec :)

I knew it was there since it is on every forum but i just never gave it any thought.

Yeah, I can't believe you've never found a reason to use it FFGuy. Spam's been ridiculous the last week...

youve got that right. >< ive had to report so many posts this week, but its glad to know that they're normally dealt with quickly. but they could be dealt with even more quickly if more members report posts more often.

ok what happens if there are a lot of spamers and they all managed to keep the spam topics on the top? it really don't cut down on spam just encurages them we should use the report and not ignore them i know that some people on other sites don't use them cause it annoys the mods and admin but not here we need to use them here so we can erase all of the spam
