PC Red Alert 2

Well im gunna start of by saying i never actually played Red alert one, and was introduced to Red alert 2 by a friend who had it on his laptop when i was at boarding school, and i became addicted to it, infact when he decided he was going to get rid of this game i offered him 5 pound for it and he said okay, bargain if you ask me, then he bought Yuri's revenge and red alert 2 again which i found quite amusing for like 15 pound (also a bargain) and so i got better and we started to play against each other on it and he slaughtered me everytime.

and i guess what im trying to say is that this game is down right AWESUM!!!!! especially considering it has kept up with more upto date games like LOTR: war of the ring and others like it
 
red alert 1 was good but not as good as red alert 2, the first one was ok and even though the graphics where pretty basic it was a very well thought out for the fisrt and i was amazed when i played the second at how much the graphics had changed and become better, there is also one good thing on the second that doesnt happen on the first even though it was a glitch, that poxy black thing that showed up on the skirmishe maps of red alert 1 that smashed the stuffing out of your base if it got close, it could seriously hinder you, so yeah, the second one is definately an improvement on the first one so your not really missing much
 
tis a fun game, i like using yuri clones to take over civilian vehicles and turning them into scouts hehe
 
I love the terror drones :D Those little bastards make the game worth playing by themselves.
 
lol i never found any use for the terror drones, including in the campaigns, i was very reluctant to use them at all, my favourite personel were the apocolypse tanks and the tesla troopers, they were so much fun
 
Are you kidding? I could wipe out a entire army with those little bastards!

Just send like 30-40 of em at a base and watch the hell break loose :D
 
its so boring, they are only good for grabbing infantry by the neck and then jumping into a vehicle and blowing it up from the inside, thats all they can do it is so boring, why couldnt they create something that can attack infantry and aircraft like the apocolypse tanks, that would be more useful and then they could up the difficulty on the campaign as well just to make it more of a challenge

i dont know lol i just play the game and kill alot lol thats all i really need to do on it, as well as come up with good strategies to annoy the enamy, plus i like to try out different ways of killing my opoonents as well so no two of my strategies are the same, that keeps my opponent guessing as to what im gonna do next
 
im hoping for another expansion, maybe where things between the americans and russians go back to war, i would like to have the chance to go through more units and campaigns, or maybe they could bring a new threat in or something like that, maybe bring a terrorist group like in command and conquer generals but actually a decent terrrorist group that ends up controlling most of the world and we have to fight to free it all again
 
I loved this game. I preferred the campaign modes on Red Alert 2, but my favourite faction was Yuri's, in Yuri's Revenge. Gattling Guns owned you :)

gattling guns werent really anything special, i hated them to be honest
 
Love it sooo much. RA is full of win. Can't wait till RA3 comes out for the PS3.

Personally, I can't choose sides. Soviets win with their massive firepower, allies win with high speed and accuracy, Yuri wins with mind control and all sorts of neat techs.

i find that i win with the allies by using stealth and large numbers, i dont really need to use tanks and as for the soviets, i have mainly been winning by using the kirov airships and the apocolypse tanks, you can go into an enamy base with two apocolypse tanks and if you destroy stuff systematically, then you can win with just two tanks, its fun
 
I believe I liked this game many years ago, it was fun back then
 
i loved playing as Yuri in Yuri's revenge, but in Red alert 2 when Yuri was a part of the Russian's i always used the Russians as the Yuri unit was really awesum, and the Russian Kirov airships ruled over the sky's especially when they were fully promoted.
