Playstation Recomend me a game

I currently have the problem of not knowing what games are good for the PS3 or not, I am Currently Playing COD:WAW, but am growing tired of it's online gaming SO could someone recomend me a game that is either An RPG or a First person shooter game that you have personally enjoyed Please?
 
Hard for me to recomend only an RPG or FPS as, though I suprise myself with the amount of games I've gathered in less than a year, I don't own very many of them...

However CoD 4 Modern Warfare is a lot of fun, however I don't know how eager you are to go backwards and if you are growing tired of the newer one, then this will probably be a mistake.

Haze I found fun for a while, but lots of people hate it... So I couldn't tell you whether it is good or not as, while I enjoyed it, a lot of people flame that game so much.

If Mirrors Edge could be slotted into the FPS category, then I'll STRONGLY suggest this game. I think it is fantastic, the fluid movements and what you can do is great. However I think I only picked up and fired a gun 5 times in the whole playthrough, as the key is to avoid having to use guns... So if it gun-blazing you want then this is probably not right for you.

RPG... I don't think I own any RPG games yet. Action games, yes, but not RPG games.
 
OK then, i have seen mirrors edge in the stores and had the inclination to buy it, but haven't really got around to it.

Infact, it doesn't matter what game type it is, as long as it is good give me a recomendation Please, anything that is good, i dont want to go out and buy a new game just to find out its crap, so what is everyone's favorites?
 
How about Dirge of Cerberus that's a great game because you get to know the past and also know about Lucrecia Crescent as well as well everything else even about Sephiroth if you get far enough.
 
Killzone 2 is worth the money, I'm really enjoying it.

Metal Gear Solid 4 is awesome, though obviously it isn't FPS, but I'd recommend it to anyone.

Oblivion is the biggest game ive ever played in my life, it makes ff looks small. It seems as theres almost nothin you cant do in it. Cost me 15 quid...best £15 ive ever spent in my life and ive still not finished the game.
Mgs4 speaks for its self, if uv played the others ul know what to expect, even if u aint played the other mgs games i can proomise ul love this game to bits, its like being in a movie.
 
Valkyria Chronicles!

It's a fantastic game, that's been overlooked something horribly D= It's got a fantastic battle system, a great story, and the graphics are gorgeous. It's certainly a game you don't want to miss!
