Also with private transportation you dont get attacked by chavs - seriously one time this chav sat down next to my friend lucy and they ended up having a hige fight XD it was so funny

and then one time this random baby was dancing to my friend while old women were btiching about it for being too noisy O_O

you get weird people on buses

I was in England a few years ago and I would love to have public transportation like you guys have it. You could hop on the train, tube or bus and literally go anywhere you want. The best part was not having to deal with gang bangers, thugs or the occasional As*ho*e that thinks you want to buy what's under his or her jacket. I wish America would take a lesson.

* Mind The Gap! * :P

And it also doubles as a handy battering ram!

Hahaha, I guess, especially when the Sunday drivers decide to restock up on thier meds early Monday morning when your trying to get to work. :D

Ha. I know that for a fact. If only you knew half of the stuff I did.

Oh, I forgot plane rides! They're public. Yea, I hate them though. Flying blows. Boats are where it is at.

At such a young age, that's quite an accomplishment. You have my congrats.

You sound as if you speak from experience, care to elaborate?

where i live it costs 2 pounds if you have a bad bus driver or 1 pund if frendly bus driver

under 16 in london and it's free! :(

Meh, nothing to exciting, just a bunch of elderly that didn't get out to the pharmacy on the weekend for some odd reason or another, mostly bad weather. Anyway, they'll get on the road early in the morning on a weekday and absolutely make life miserable by completely screwing up traffic.

*Off topic* I hate to verbally beat up on the elderly, but when you physically or mentally can't drive anymore, it's time to surrender your Divers License back to the State.

Pfft, for Wullfe. Ahem. "You're nothing, but a second-rate, trying hard, copy-cat!" =) Lmao I love that line. It was from my soap. ;) And I'm kidding!

Anyway, public transportation could be fun when you're with your friends. For instance, a few years back, my friend Grace and I rode a city bus (small one) and we sat towards the back.

Few stops later, some retarded group of people joined us. I mean, they were literally retarded, or atleast acted like one. They were around in their 30's! Well, they were sitting next to my friend (fortunately for me) and started sneezing...facing towards her. -_- She was so ticked off, but didn't wanna make a scene. I just started laughing quietly to myself, but boy did I feel sorry for her!

So do I prefer public transportation? Jeez no. I like private better. You can still have fun with your friends that way.

I dont mind public transport like coaches or trains Ive booked on, yet I loathe buses and trams as I always get the werido, drunk or smelly person sat next to me ...

But I dont own my own form of transport and I envy my boyfriend and friends as some have their own car. They say they love their own space and the freedom to go where they wish when they want.

When you have to get into the subway everyday like me...you end up dreaming with a private transport!

You guys have been on some interesting bus rides.
Can't say I've ever been on one that made me feel uncomfortable in any way.
But then again, over half of those I've been on have been tour buses, so...
that's why I voted public. Unless you count school buses. Those are horrible. I remember one time our bus driver caught this guy smoking, well you know, contraband stuff. We had to drive back to school and wait an hour before we were cleared to get back home.

But other than that, nah, I still prefer public because it gets me away from the monotony of watching everything pass by my car window anytime I ride in it.
Plus it's rare I get to ride on public transportation anyway, which makes me like it even more.

All good points. Public transportation is better for the environment, it eases traffic and is all around the saviour of our earth. But I still dig my car. :D
