ps3 vs 360

Which in your opinion is the better console ps3 or 360? I have both and I personally think its the ps3 because, of blu-ray mainly as blu-ray won the high def war it makes the console a lot better for games than the dvd 360. I also think the controller is a lot more comfortable and it has no need for batteries.

But in the defense of the 360 i do think that it has better online play (even if you have to pay for it), the way you contact friends is better and it has the achievement system is good. And at the moment it has better games.

Already a topic for this, so I'm gonna merge your thread, dude.

I say the 360 is better based solely on the games available for it. With the exception of MGS4, the PS3 doesn't have many great exclusives. Hell, MGS4 isn't even technically an exclusive, as I believe it's coming to the 360 in the future. That may not be true, but it's what I've heard.

Also, as you mentioned, the 360 is supported by the better online service. It's more user friendly, provides achievements that gives players more incentive to play, and often provides downloadable content that isn't offered through the PSN. Games that release on both consoles are simply more fun to play on the 360.

My PS3 collects dust if I'm not using it to watch a DVD. On the other hand, my 360 sees action every day.

The 360 definatly has better games out right now (though in the future KH3, MGS 4, FF 13, and VS 13 will be better than anything), the PS3, as a system, is much better.

So PS3 for me.

pretty much summed it up for me.

The only thing the 360 has goit going for it is games available. They have hundreds more than PS3. Thats about it really.

As a console, the PS3 is 10x better. (not to mention I have had 3 XBox360's in the last year, they all fucking break then die.)

PS3 for me.

I'd have to say both.

My brother has the 360, and the graphics are amazing! I was really impressed when I saw him playing it. That, coupled with the huge selection of games it has and the good online service make it a fabulous console.

I, on the other hand, have a PS3, and I really love it. The graphics are just as good as the 360, but the online service isn't as good I've heard. I have yet to use it. It also doesn't have that many games to choose from, but hopefully that will change in the future.

So yea, I think both are good consoles. I don't see why people have to say one is better than the other because it's all just a matter of preference.

Is FF 13 going to be on the 360?
Yes, it was announced at E3 that FFXIII would be released on both the PS3 and Xbox 360. Another lost exclusive for Sony.

Good point, by the way. Very reasonable.

The only reason why more people have Xbox360 is because it's cheaper. -_-

I atm, do not have a PS3. But I'm getting one soon enough.

Ummm yeah, don't forget the fact that the Xbox 360 came out a year before the PS3. Also it has a MUCH better collection of games than the PS3 has.

Surprise Surprise! I have a Japanese translator that can translate Japanese words to English. Apparently, the Japanese on 2chan are rather disappointed in the PS3. They discussed about how they were having problems with their systems. Also that they were excited about all the upcoming games on the Xbox 360. :elmo:

The normal model is cheaper, but the 360 Elite is the same price as the Metal Gear Solid 4 Bundle...AND the hard drive is 120 GB as opposed to a measly 80 gigs.

Another reason why more people have the 360 is because it has more games, it's a simple truth. Want more RPGs? The 360 is definitely the console of choice. Want lots more FPS's (don't know why anyone would wanna play them on a console though)? The 360 has lots more (and Haze for PS3 failed hard). Want Gears of War 1 and 2? Only 360 (well, PC too, but that's still Microsoft). And if you want action games like Devil May Cry 4, Resident Evil 5, Prince of Persia and Dead Space...why bother getting them for a system that costs more (or the same, if you get the Elite) and with less memory?

Let's not forget the 360 now has a partnership with Netflix, which beats out PSN's new movie/TV show store. And lets take a look at some of the major titles coming out for PSN: Flower (fly around as a petal), Fat Princess (casual RTS), Little Big Planet (whoop de fuckin do, I can make my own levels and play them with random people online), and PixelJunk Eden (more casual).

Sony is trying to hit every market they can, and in the process they're failing to solidify their position in any market. And even for a graphics whore, currently there are hardly any PS3 games out there with noticeable improvements over their 360 iterations. Maybe in 5 years time they will be better, but that's assuming that developers want to work with Sony and give them exclusives. As of now, buying a 360 is the smarter choice, you'll get more for your money.
