White Light Memories

Snow drifts lazily
Shrouding green with powder white
Long lost innocence

Laughter and delight
Playing amongst silver trees
Childhood memories

Rippling blue waters
Numb fingers and freezing toes
Nothing more than dreams

Weary now with age
Remembering times long past
Fading with a smile

Damaged

Swimming was just fine
Crawled up on the bed to read
Want to reach the cat

Falling through the air
Gravity pulls me closer
Low pain tolerance

Emergency’s here
The beginning of the end
Cries fill the silence

First hospital trip
It’s only a bruised arm, girl
Return back home now

Flashforward twelve years
The bus jerks too fast, too much
Wildfire shock sweeps through

It knocks me right down
Not sure what to feel anymore
Caught in bad drama

Don’t want sympathy
Know that everyone gets hurt
Time to stand alone

Everyone takes worse
Everyone is unique, too
Everyone must fight

High pain tolerance
That’s what my memories made
My life carries on

Celestial Bliss

An intake of breath
And the scenes flash before me
Sweet and innocent

Capture the moment
Yonder in my vivid mind

Incredible love
A gift from the heavenly
Will it forever be mine?

Shards of memories
Linger and I welcome this
Awakened spirit

Uplifting sadness
In place of familiar grace
And I burst in tears

Not of agony or fear

I'm voting for White Light Memories. It was the one that I enjoyed most reading. It flowed nicely, and had my focus of knowing what was going on the entire way through.

I really enjoyed reading all of them, but the first one topped it. Loving the choice of words.

I really liked #1 as well. White Light Memories.

It was the one that I didn't have to read twice to understand fully.

It flowed nicely and I had an image in my mind from the start.

I sort had a harder time trying to get an image in my mind for the other two. Not that they weren't good, I just found #1 flowed easier. =)
