If anyone watched the secret ending at the end of Dirge of Cerberus it leaves it open nicely for a sequel. (If you hven't seen the secret ending it can be found at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=354GikFNwbI) Could the man in the video be the infamous "G"? If you notice he has a wing on the opposite side to sepheroth and from the hints given in the G reports it seems possible. Square bosses are keeping their mouths closed for the moment but tell me what you think.

The man in the secret ending is indeed 'G', and is the main baddie in Crisis Core. There may be a new game following on from the events of DoC as SquareEnix havent really said they'er stopping the compilation of FF VII yet after the currently announced games. But I reckon the ending referes to DoC:Lost Mission, a mobile phone game that continues on from DoC. I don't think however that they'll release a proper DoC II tho.

DoC2 will be awesome! I think they should make the Backup team stronger this time coz it was fuckin weak!!

Man i hope theres DoC2 cause this game ROCKED, and was a different yet great addition to the FF.

i hope it comes out. if it does id buy it... wat system would it be on? id like it to be on ps2 but it will probably be on ps3

I'm dead sure that there's going to be DoC2, I mean that's for sure. If you take a look at the English secret ending version of DoC, you will then know what G (Gackt, or whatever) had a few words to say to us. Let me quote you from that video on You Tube here.

"We still have much work to do... My brother!"

And what DarkBladesVII is true. It's pretty obvious that G is a brother to Sephiroth. As you can see for yourself, G has got a wing to his left while Sephiroth has got one to the right so yeah it makes sense now. They are somehow related but my question is, does this mean that Sephiroth is a brother to Weiss and Neo as well? What's the story between Sephiroth and Weiss? I'm sure there's a lot that we do not know about as of yet... But I hope that DoC2 will reveal much information about Sephiroth's relationship with G, Weiss and others.

I doubt that it's going to be able on the PS2 seeing as the PS3 has been now released to the US finally. I bet it will be available for the PS3 only and probably the other consoles such as X360 even though I hope it won't and will never be.

I don't know if I want a DoC 2. =/

Yeah, that is a pretty obvious hint for a sequel, BUT I'd say it's more of a "sequel" to the compilation.
Meaning Genesis/G and Sephiroth(IF that was the brother he meant) will appear in another compilation, but maybe with a different main character and different gameplay.

Something like how FFVII(an RPG) is related to FFVII:AC(two years after FFVII; a movie) and FFVII:DoC(one year after AC; FPS gameplay)

Hold on.. now how is Genesis/G related to Weiss and Nero?
I might have missed something.

I doubt there ever will be an FFVII compilation game for the 360.
I think SE prefer to remain ties with Sony.

Just my two cents.

well this G, or also know as Gackt, is based of the actual guy called Gackt who is a singer who sung redemption... just thought you should know
'G' is Genesis, not Gackt! The character is modelled after Gackt and is voiced by him but is not known as Gackt in the game.

Major Spoilers, and are indeed the real story as planed so far....

Genesis is the bad guy of Crisis Core. He was once a First Class SOLDIER but was experimented on. The experiment was to create the ultimate soldier. The results of this experiment ended up becoming Deep Ground. Following on from this project, Shinra carried on creating another soldier using a similar process, this time using Jenova Cells. The result was Sephiroth. In Crisis Core Genesis escapes Shinra but was hunted down by another SOLDIER called Angeal, who lost his life in the process of sealing Genesis away deep under Midgar. You play as Zack who accompanies Angeal on his mission.

So basicly, Genesis and Sephiroth are similar but are from two diffrent projects. The G Project and the Jenova Project. Deep Ground and the Tsevites are the 'Spawns' of Genesis so to speak, they have no real connection to Sephiroth in general. Angeal is the mentor of Zack and is the orginal owner of the Buster Sword. After Angeal dies to seal Genesis its obviously passed down to Zack.

The end of DoC does indeed open for a following chapter to the compilation, however I don't think it will nessacearly be a DoC2. Seeing as it ties in majorly with Crisis Core I wouldn't be suprised if they did a game identical to that in terms of style and that it wont be centerd around Vincent as much. Chaos and Omega are gone! Deep Ground, thus Genesis and Weiss no longer seek to hunt down Vincent, That chapter is done with.

Time will tell...

G did say it is not time to slumber my brother (or something like that) to weiss.

Also, the creator or DoC (forgot his name) said this is the end of the comlplation of ff7, but he didn't say there would not be a sequal, he said something along the lines of, the story has not been told yet and people want to know what happens

Those words could've meant for someone else.
Notice he didn't look at Weiss when saying it, but look straight up, as if showing a far sight.

And also:
- Genesis has a wing on his left, while Sephiroth on the right.
- Sephiroth was "created" after Genesis(Genesis being the prototype).
- He said "otou-otou yo" which translates to -little- brother, further reinstating the above reason.
- I don't have a forth reason. XP

Strengthens the fact that the brother he meant is Sephiroth, doesn't it?

That would be Tetsuya Nomura, and are you sure he said that?
Because the FFVII compilation is planned to last for 10 years, that is, they're working with more stuff for the compilation for 10 more years.

"Director Takayoshi Nakazato said that he was a big fan of the PC game Half Life and wanted to turn it into an RPG, and he has done so, in the form of Dirge of Cerberus.[citation needed] This is the last game in chronological order in the Compilation of Final Fantasy VII, and is often referred to by the staff of the game as "the ending finale to Final Fantasy VII". However, producer Yoshinori Kitase has recently stated in an interview with Electronic Gaming Monthly that it's not necessarily the end of Final Fantasy VII's story, but will provide resolution to Vincent's personal story, just as Advent Children resolves Cloud's. The game's secret epilogue also leaves the door open, introducing a mysterious character named Genesis, or "G", who speaks in a cryptic fashion that suggests the story is not yet over."

thats what it says on wikipedia, sorry, its the last in chronological order it says here, but he then goes on to say there could be s sequel

Why bother discussing it as far as i have heard Square Enix have no plans for anymore FF:VII games xcept for those waiting for release.

A sequel would be so cool. I'd never played a first person shooting game before, and I really enjoyed this one. I sequel would be awesome! I think they were planning on making sequels for every character, so I don't know if the 'sequel' would be based around Vincent. But if so... AWESOME!

I do believe that there will be a sequel for DoC that game was not bad but it wasn't the next game of the year. I saw the secret ending when i beat the game and i think Sepheroth maybe still out there OR "G" was talking about Weiss

People will keep saying it would be so awesome - and that's that it. What would make a DoC2 so awesome? Why would it feature anymore on Vincent? DoC: LO will do. CC - maybe.

If they make another sequel and just add more filler crap in it, SE will have lost the plot.

Doubt there will be a DoC2 as such but there has got to be another game to do with Genesis ('G'). And as much I lurve Vincent I dont think he will be the lead character again. Possibly a playable character. Definatly be in the game... I hope...:D

i think there milking ff-vii a bit, fair enough so far everything has been fine, and the games have been okay, but how long will that last. Where as the other FF's (X aside) dont get a look in,
