I'm ambidextrous, the only thing I do with my left hand is write and draw and paint, anything artistic, but I use my right hand for everything else.

I call bullshit on this, first of all. Ambidextrous as a genuine trait is supposed to be every one in several thousand, and so far we got six, compared to three left handed people (including myself). Secondly, being lefthanded does seem to cause artistic abilities in people. I personally go to an art school, and I've never met so many left handed people. We actually have have of the desks in our classrooms as lefthanded desks. I do draw, but it sure as hell has nothing to do with being left handed. I was horrible at it at first, and I tried and tried. But, I took a drawing class and was taught, and the first thing the teacher told the class was that drawing is an acquired skill. Some people seem to be born with it, but anyone can learn.
Also, I heard (don't know for a fact, but someone could look it up) that the reason left handed people are more artistic is because the left side of the brain controls the right side of the body and vise versa. Apparently the right side of our brain has more control over our emotions, and using the left hand would cause the right side of the brain to function more often, therefore making people 'artistic'. I also heard that crossing your legs helps you think because it better aligns your mind.

There is a specific exercise for that, which is that you touch your knee with your opposite hand and repeat the process with your other knee. The other is to cover one eye (particularly the one on the same side as your dominant hand) and try to do math problems or other things you do during the day to strengthen the other side of your brain.

However, it is no lie that I write with my left hand, or am even able to write with both at the same time. If you need proof, I will gladly scan the backside of any of my math notes and you will see that it differs from the other side I write on. I will even scan the pages of stuff I've done with both hands at the same time. If that's not enough, I'm not going to waste my time convincing you of anything. You are free to not believe me.

Furthermore, the sample size of the number of people involved in the votes is too small to say that the number of ambidextrous people does not match 1 in several thousand; some variation is expected.

I'd like to know where you got this so called 'one in several thousand' people from. People can generally learn to use both hands and is encouraged in many different aspects of life one perfect example being music; pianists (especially ones who want to be amazing at it) must learn to use both hands and the same can be said for people who play other instruments. Same goes for sport, best example being Rafael Nadal who although is primarily left handed is nearly as equally as good with his right hand as well as other tennis players, cricket players, baseball players(I presume), etc.
Even in football/soccer (although it's more laterality), being able to use both feet are necessary for the best players.

So I can hardly see how it's a lie that 6 people happen to be able to use both hands for certain things when many people do learn to use both.

I'm right handed...but it's kinda weird. I write like a left-handed person. It's hard to explain. I bend my elbow at a 90 degree angle to write. My teachers tried to correct it when I first started writing, but were never successful.

Not with general things, but writing. Writing with both hands isn't a common feat. I'm not saying everyone is a liar, or that even one of them is. It just seems quite unlikely that there are so many ambidextrous people in such a small poll. I guess it came out wrong, not meant to be offensive or accusing, just trying to show that I was startled and a bit hesitant to believe every single one of those people can actually write with both hands. If you insist you do, I believe you.
As a side note, I did not expect people to be so defensive. o_O

Actually, it would be more unlikely that a large sample size of people had more people that were ambidextrous than if it were a small sample size. It's probability; since this is discrete, the only probabilities you can have with two people are 0, 1/2, or 2/2= 1; with 1000, there are 500x more probabilities.

I'm a lefty, im not very artistic though. And yeah people can become ambidextrous my step-dad (R.I.P) was right handed and he broke his arm and started to write with his left he managed to write/draw with both hands. Anythings possible if you put your mind to it.

I'm right-handed, I can't do jack with my left hand.

I can control a football with my left foot, though.

I'm right-handed but I can bat switch handed for baseball, and when I shoot pool/billiards I shoot left-handed for some reason. Everyone in my direct family is right-handed except my little bro who is 9 and is left-handed.

I'm right handed. But i punch harder with my left. :wacky:

When i write with my left, it looks like some retard wrote it. :monster:

I am right-handed, but I am left-handed with a golf club or hockey stick.

My brother, however, is completely right handed, claiming that his right hand must be twice as strong as his left hand. :P

I'm left-handed. Left-handers like me are quite good in art, but some in right hands too.

I use my left hand for everything, but I mainly use my right hand to control teh mouse and to type. :monster:

i am predominantly right handed, granted i can do some things left handed, throw a punch, lift a weight, and scratch my head are three very common examples of this but when it comes to the important things like throwing a ball or writing then i can only use my right hand, well i can use my left but it becomes harder and worse, (i aim to throw a ball forward with my left hand it goes backward)

Im originally left handed.
though, due ti some Teacher fucks at a school I went to.
I was forced to use my right hand.

But, as a result, I can do everything, with both hands, thought my writing is somewhat... nor that good ^^

Though, I write like a doctor anyway. so ^^

Right-handed. It's called that for a reason.

All left handed people should be herded up into camps and cleansed like the dogs they are.
