Does anyone else dislike when regular songs or films are filled with negative political or religious propaganda. I understand that there are some bands or movie producers out there that cater to this kind of thing (Michael Moore, Rise Against, etc) but sometimes it's just thrown into everyday songs or movies for seemingly no reason.
Take for instance two examples (of classic rock which none of you bastards will relate to): Hymn 43 by Jethro Tull and Run to the Hills by Iron Maiden. One is about wars and violence that occurs as a result of religion and the other is about the slaughter of the American Indians. While both are extremely good songs, they're both very opinionated and pointed songs. I just find it weird that no one would really realize that they're intended to be politically charged unless you really listen to the lyrics, because the music is so good.
