Pet Peeves of Posting

[Aztec Triogal]

1. People who sign their posts
- It's in your signature already, why do you need to sign each individual post.

2. People who don't read the first post in a topic
- Yes, you can probably assume what the topic is about by the title. However, there is a chance that you are wrong, so read the first post before you post.

3. People who don't read the last post in a topic
- You might've found out what the topic was about by the first post... but that doesn't mean you know where it's at now. Read the first post and the last couple to get where the topic started and were it ended up.

4. Long spam
- See Saix's signature

5. Comparison Threads
- Not every thread needs to compare two different people or a group of people. Granted these aren't a huge pet peeve of mine... but they should be much fewer than they are. Make topics that you can post in multiple times because it's an enriched discussion about a topic.

6. List Threads
- Note the irony.

7. Incredibly long signatures
- They're not that important people. Get over yourselves. It's not art... it just takes up space and makes people scroll. If you have that much to say, make a freaking thread.

In the second post I changed the subject to see if anyone would read it, and see where the topic has gone, which was one of Aztec's pet peeves. No one noticed. Except Riku, I guess. All got pwned.

People who spell Aeris as "Aries" and Tifa as "Tiffa" its two simple names and it just annoys me when people spell them wrong

That and chatspeak. I DESPISE it with every fibre of my being. whn i read a post i don't wish to spend 20 minutes translating from chatspeak to normal speak

I hate when people use improper spelling and grammer. I understand typos, but when every other word is mispelled, I hate it. Not everyone is a master guesser.

Agreed. I know there are people out there who don't have English as a first or second language, but at LEAST use spell check! And for those who don't quite realize they are making spelling mistakes, get the new Mozilla Firefox, for it points out your spelling mistakes for you. (Though it does nothing for grammar...hmm...)

I also highly despise role-playing posters who do one (or both) of two things;

1) Using txt tlk during a role-play.
and
2) Immediately assume that he or she can just jump into the middle of a battle and heroically (and VERY unrealistically, even for a role play) dispense of the current opponent no matter HOW tough it was supposed to be all in the entry post.

Internet drama and constant 'pwnage!' in every page is also annoying too, but I'm sure that most sensible posters know that by now.

I hate it when people forum whore. Go outside! Sheesh... if you feel the need to reply every other post... and purposely try and spam a topic, just go and guzzle a few bottles of bleach until you feel better. Trust me... just try it once... that's all you'll need.
